The Ex-Tiger Watch.

Amazing what a difference having a coach makes. 3rd in the league for Mtrs made. Explosive and dangerous everytime he touchs the ball. His much talked about defensive issues haven't been an issue. They picked him up for nothing ???

I reckon Austin is a great player. The double movement try called against him looked to be a joke of a decision.

Disagree. He clearly promoted the ball. There was no way it was momentum. He is tackled when the ball hits the ground with a player touching him. The only way he can score a legitimate try from that position is with momentum. That wasnt momentum.

Even Blake knew he promoted the ball.

The ball touched the ground when he grounded it in goal…

Koroibete ….. couldnt get a run in our first grade team last year even with a constant injury toll!!!!

I have no inside info, but you would have to think with Koro being given a release their were other issues that influenced the club in their decision making process. If not it was a brain dead call

Gavet ruled out for season

Prized Broncos recruit James Gavet has suffered what is expected to be a season-ending knee injury - while serving a shoulder charge ban. Brisbane confirmed that Gavet required a knee reconstruction after stepping awkwardly at training last Thursday.

Former Wests Tigers enforcer Gavet was running a defensive drill while serving the second week of a three-match ban. A Brisbane spokesman said Gavet would go under the knife on Monday and would require a six to nine month recovery, all but ruling him out for the rest of the NRL season.

There was an awful lot of folk around here that agreed with his release last year. Was a shame we needed a goal kicker so bad. I've have koro over pat every day if not for pats kicking arsenal. I hate seeing him in purple. But still cheer him on whenever he gets the ball.

Koro made his NRL debut for the Tigers in 2012, and by mid 2014 still didn't have his head around first grade. I wish him all the best because he's very hard to stop if catches the ball, but realistically the Tigers couldn't find a use for him. The Storm seem to be able to carry Koro better than we could.

Just want to make two points.

Koro didn't want to stay - He wanted out!!!!

Potter didn't have any say - He was not allowed to make any of those decisions.

I'm going with this reason. One of the dumbest recruitment and retention decisions this club has made.

You can not keep a player who doesn't want to be here…why is that so hard to understand...

At the time we had Richards and Nofo as our first choice wingers and while Koro was scoring tries in the Reggies apparently he was just going through the motions, refer to the forum from last year.
Time will tell if he is a success at the Storm.

Has some hard luck with injuries this fella.

Yep, understand that. But Nofo and Richards were both injured at various times and Luelia was given the nod. I think he has pretty much proven to be a success already hasnt he - first grade every week even with his so called defensive issues. I think the Storm are more than satisfied with him.

Terrible luck for Gavet. As for Koro, glad to see he is going well at the Storm but geez I wish he had of wanted to stick it out with us.

I suppose the question is then who are the 2 best wingers out of Richards, Nofo and Koro. I'm sure with an upgraded contract and playing first garde Koro would have been more than happy to stay.

My take is that signing Richards was a big mistake. Koro is a much better winger.
