Raiders fans think Austin is some savant. Not really the case but let them be.

As opposed to Tigers fans not seeing much in our halves to get excited about.

I would take Austin who is miles ahead of Moses any day.

These guys came in way too early and us fans have to sit back and wait until they are actually ready.

Should have been 12 months in NSW Cup for the both of them until the age of the 'there only 20' excuses run out.

I have to agree with that. By bringing both Moses and Brooks into first grade at least 12 months earlier than they were ready the club may well have caused irreparable damage to their careers. Austin has done has completed his maturing time with Penrith and Wests Tigers and Canberra will now reap the benefit while we have still a lot of waiting to do with Moses and Brooks. Put a mature and seasoned Drinkwater into first grade and I am sure that you will see a big difference.

Brooks and / or Moses have never been dropped in their lives….
I couldn't imagine it now.

We can't keep selecting players on past reputations. We have come into enough trouble doing that with Lawrence.

I don't disagree with you mate….
It seems to really take a lot to get hooked / dropped from the Tigers.

Blokes could be charged with murder and still be named in our 1-17.

In my game, If a guy is on the shovel and going no good.... You put someone else on the shovel.
- It's far to costly to just say "Well, That is the best he can do"

I saw a photo of Moses from the weekend throwing a pass... I remember thinking, Photographer must have got that in the warm up. - He's been missing all year!!

Irrespective of players apparently wanting to leave our club,Koro,Austin, others made go,Blair,Gavet etc..we have to understand that if we had this years recruitment management then, I think it would be a different story, also Admin was a shambles and the cap was in dissaray…many factors had taken their toll ....

Some of the players I think had to go others could still be with us...,...

Lawrence is by no means the player he used to be , but three coaches now have not dropped him

Must mean either he is the greatest brown nose of all time or we don't have any better options to choose from

You be the judge

On to big of a Money to justify to the Board he is not to NRL standard.

Just have to put up with it next year then i'm sure he will not be signed again , if he is ? that will do me .

I still think we will miss Austin the most

People say he is a one trick pony , but a lot of good players have fallen for his one trick

If he can learn from anyone in regards to ball skills and developing a passing game Ricky Stuart is the guy

One of the best I have seen in my many years watching the game

And no one would argue with that FT , but I don't remember too many arguing with his 5 year 1.8 million contract at the time either

I thought it was a bargain at the time

happy
Yep and at the time i was happy with it . Not wishing him bad luck at all but the reality is he's not up to NRL standard anymore especially as a Centre .

good to see people see blake as what i saw him when he first played for us. always thought he was too individualistic and not a half material.

lol he was being worhsipped like a hero last year- it's funny what seeing someone in another colours can do to our eyes 😛

loved seeing mullaney playing for the tigers but when he moved to parra- saw him for what he really was.

What many of us loved about Austin is that he gave 100% when he played right to the end of the season, which was more than could be said for many others last season!

He is a good player but the reality is that when he - or even moreso the likes of Reddy or Brown - are stand-outs, your team is in trouble…

At least you knew what you were going to get with Austin every week

Many others didn't reach his standards of effort , even with his limited skill set

Totally agree Geo , Lewis was the same

Its hard to teach the football sense of timing , just a feeling what is going to work and not work in a particular situation , having the vision of what will happen two plays in advance , where you exactly need to be for a play to come off …..

Like I try and teach my son with defence , don't go into a tackle with a particular idea of how it will happen , just let it happen and 9/10 you'll make the right call and on the tenth time hope you get enough of him so someone can finish him off

I wonder where Bronsan Harrison is these days….Sheenius stuffed his career up IMO....tried to make him a prop when he was a ball playing running second rower!

I don't think it is about the one trick. It is about Austin being able to put them in 2 minds and making a gap. He has a good one trick, a good running side step, a good passing game. Which one at the time ??? thats the trick.
