The Forgotten Battle in 2010

Over the years the game of rugby league has had some epic battles between teams, players, coaches and even respective fan groups.

Sterling v Mortimer

Dogs v Eels

Tigers v Rabbits

Elias v the Walters Bros v Fenech

Dragons fans v Tigers fans in 2005

Manly v every other team

Super League v ARL

etc

etc

… well it seems in 2010 the Wests Tigers will once again provide the game of rugby league with another battle .... not against a opposition team or player etc but within the ranks of the club two players will go head to head in what promises to be a battle of titanic proportions....

Two men will lock horns -

... both want the number two jersey

... both want the try scoring record

... one wants to regain his crown

... the other wants to show who the true king is

... and both want to thrill the millions of fans they both share around the world

... its TnT v FWO

Realistically Fitzy's only hope of making the top grade is at the expense of Ryan on the other wing. I rate them about even and would give Fitzy a shot on experience only. Could be a real benefit to Ayshford having that experience outside him. Don't forget how bad our defense was on Beau's side with Collis and him there.
Otherwise a bench subby, but not sure he offers much there with the likes of Fulton and Flanagan about the place.

Only 1 of these two will have captained the WestsTigers before they retire.

Only 1 of these men have a WT premiership tattoo on their bicep.

Only 1 of these wingers have scored a try in a NRL grand final, World 7's final and a World Club Challenge. A feat not even the immortal Joey Johns can claim.

Only 1 will go down in folklore in a book called Forever Brothers. Can you really ever picture another book titled "Forever Bro's"?

I would take any put any winger from any team in our club (Wests, Balmain, U20s) before Id play Fitzhenry. I cant believe that he is even in the squad when people like Sama Savou have to miss out..
