The Great Hamburger Debate..

Living in the US I have to deal with the crappy burgers they dish up here. I cook my own burgers at home with real Aussie bbq sauce, with cooked onions, lettuce, tomato, egg and beetroot. You seriously cant beat that. I make it for the yanks here and they cant get enough of it.

Travelling to the States a couple of times a year I must agree with you ,the yanks have no idea about hamburgers ..did a cook out for some friends and there family in Iowa ,knew I would be doing this so packed in some Three threes tomato sauce and 3 tins of sweet sliced beetroot ,they had never eaten a hamburger with Beetroot go figure .They went down a treat ..if anyone spends anytime in Hawaii any island you have to go to Teddy's hamburger joint the closest thing to an Aussie hamburger it is the real deal and in typical American tradition HUGE. .

Can we start a petition to ban the brioche bun. Cafe at work insists on using them.

Brioche is starting to decline and the milk bun is coming back.

Brioche has its place for a good greasy burger (cuts through), but doesn't belong on cleaner types.

Has anyone tried the toasted bao buns? They are great with delicate seafood like bug!

I find it too sweet for any burger.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for bao buns.
