Just on that…how the hell did it effect the TRY on the other side of the field when Mitchell threw the first one...

Watch your video again he clearly pushes Benji first that constitutes a punch these days

a push constitutes a punch? what are you high? there is a clear NO PUNCH policy…week in week out we see pushes and the refs only warn them...a punch is NOT a push and a push is NOT a punch.. at the end of the day Benji made a great run and made a bad call as to how to react to a push from mitchell...you can try and justify it all you want.

It was a quality game of league.
But nowhere near as good as that cracking game in canberra yesterday between the Tiges and the raiders. We lost that one too, but how amazing was the skill, talent, fortitude and passion shown.

or not

Just what you need at the end of the season we have had is to have an opposition supporter coming on and crowing about his team's win! Go and annoy the roosters supporters and leave us alone to our misery.

Yep I hear ya mate and I'm still hurting too. Roosterman digging up that semi for us all to watch only makes it worse because it shows us how far our team has fallen in a few short years. It's history Roosterman - now is the only important time and your team is going great guns, while ours is crap. Thanks for reminding us :unamused:

He's talking about how great the game was, not the result. Have a glass of cement.

I was at that game, I agree it was a great game to watch but pity about the outcome

Doesn't even make the Top 6 games I've ever seen

Game 3 1987 State of Origin Qld 10 defeat NSW 8 Scoreless second half Fantastic

Game 2 Ashes series 1990 The final Meninga try basically on the hooter

1989 GF Balmain v Canberra Sorry my Balmain brethren but I was on Canberra that day

Super League decider Qld v NSW not sure of the year but it was a magic game

Newcastle v Manly GF when Albert scores

2005 semi Tigers v Saints The day I finally thought we would become a real force in the NRL Got that wrong BIG time didn't I

True that Happy….say no more

The pre lim final crapped all over the GF as hard as that might be to believe. I was at both games, and the atmosphere at the Dragons game was off the wall. The atmosphere at the GF was dead and sucked the life out of the affect of the feeling the win gave you. I'll always put the Dragons game above the GF.

When I finally kick the bucket after I have completed my bucket list make sure you all bury me with the DVD of that game

And I should've been there 😢

I agree that the dragons game was a better atmosphere . I too was at both , but I didn't feel that the atmosphere at the grand final sucked .
Maybe you didn't get on the turps enough that night ??

And we all know what the result would of been if the shoe was on the other foot don't we Roosterman ??

It would of been a T R Y

i recall another game around 2003 or 2004 at Campbelltown Stadium , Newcastle was giving us a flogging 26-0 or something can't remember ,we nearly left at half time and came back and beat them by 2 points , was awesome they had an unbelievable side Johns , Buderus , Peden , Mark Hughes , Mathew Gidley .
Does anyone recall this game? and can correct me?

Forgot another great game of footy

1989 Game 2 SOO Qld 16 - NSW 12

For Qld to win after losing Meninga ,Vautin ,Langer ,Hancock and Lindner and finishing the game with 12 players was something special

As was the Lewis and Kerrod Walters tries

Agree with earlier posts that this is like the 89 GF for WT fans. One thing I could never get out of my head was straight after Dwyer's hit, he jumped on the ball and was tackled, yet Hayne ruled a scrum. Then when the scrum packed, FPN who eventually jumped on the ball when Heighno hesitated was NEVER binding in the scrum. We had out chances to win and didn't take them, but gee Hayne screwed us that night.

It was 2002, we were down 24-0 and 32-12 just after half time, and Owen Craigie put on a clinic. It was Kevin Mcguiness' come back game from his drug suspension and he scored the match winner off a Craigie grubber. Joey didn't play.
