Brown and Moses are considered one of the best combos in the comp.really didn’t look that good last night.apart from the chip from Moses I’d say they looked more lost than us when they got close to the line.
Gutho is a good ball player (as much as I hate to admit it)

Geez can't agree there. I thought Brown and Moses looked on another level to our blokes. If we had their halves I think the result would have been different.

Moses is receiving coaching from Johns, if you didn't hear his 'soon to be representative half' comment. Apparently there is no conflict of interest in commentating, individual coaching and having an opinion on rep selections.

Your comment on' another level to our blokes' would refer to Walters and Marshall. When Brooks came on, Brooks and Benji went to a level beyond Moses and Brown.

Played well last night. Nearly set up Grant for a try near the posts unfortunately Grant spilled it, His pass in the Talau try was sublime. His try saving tackle on Ferguson or Brown near the sideline was outstanding.

Walters lack of impact against the top teams was foreseeable.

It was Waqa Blake..didn't miss a tackle last night..

Created opportunities in the final 15min we we finally got the ball..the Talau TRY a good example..

Tommy had work to do..which he did..

Thanks it was an outstanding tackle which would have had Moses signalling the sideline for a change of underpants if he had to try and make it.

Time to move him on. Would the Storm take him for Grant?

Would make a great running five eight with a dominate half like Prince or Cronk type.

We will not win a premiership with Brooks at half back

Walters was calling for the ball heaps but Grant was going the other way most of the night, i thought Walters defended really well and id be prepared to give him another week in the top grade

Give him another week. Brooks back for the knights game. Brooks at his best is miles ahead of Walters

Very important. Last year he played good more than bad. This year he went good against sharks and that was it. Don’t know what’s happened, our forwards are stronger, we have a better hooker, no reason he should be playing worse. Hopefully a momentary form slump

His best was his debut game ...
For a halfback he has a very limited arsenal

We’ll have to agree to disagree there Paws. Whilst Brooks and Marshall are imo our best combo by far, I think Brown and Moses are a far better halves combo.

Agree.
I felt we were lucky that he was on the bench. Think the team and the game's outcome benefited from this also - instead of throwing on McQueen. After AD went off both he and Mbye added some much needed spark.

I don’t think it’s limited at all. Short kicking, short passing, even his long kicking has improved plus his running game. He has the skills he’s shown that we just haven’t seen him use that this season. His passing has been off for whatever reason but that’s not to say he doesn’t possess the skills

I thought his kicking game last night was far better than what it has been, his bombs actually put Gutho under pressure and his catch pass work was excellent. noticed he was playing second receiver a lot and I thought our attack worked far better with Marshall feeding him the ball as opposed to the other way round. still a fair way off his best but we're seeing improvement. maybe another week off the bench or out of the side completely and then it might be time to bring him back in.

Short kicking ...can’t thread the needle ❌
Torpedo bomb ..non existent ❌
Short passing ...hospital balls ❌
Long kicking...non existent ❌
Goal kicking ..non existent ❌
Field goal exponent ..non existent ❌
Chip n chase ...non existent ❌
Long spiral pass ...non existent ❌

Had speed and he’s a good defender ✅

Summary : not a halfback

Swap him for Harry Grant ... Maybe Belllamy can do something for him ?

I honestly wouldn't be so fast to kick out Walters. Everyone was buoyant last week, but now too quick to dismiss.

His short kicking game is alright, was he not towards top of the comp for repeat sets last year?

FG he's kicked 4 in his career. Mitchell Moses has kicked 6. Jahrome Hughes has kicked 0. Cam Munster has kicked 2. Jack Wighton has kicked zero. Nathan Cleary has kicked 5 and he's supposed to be a gun kicker. Mitchell Pearce has kicked 10 his entire career. Not really a measurement by which you rate halves I don't think. Anyway why would we need a FG kicker, we have Benji who has kicked 16 in 18 seasons.

So you can only pull my opinion apart on 2 aspects ?
What about the rest ?

He’s had 7 years and he’s bog average ..
Turn him into a 9 or trade him .

Hobbo, the big issue is can he organise a flying wedge?
