Man I love Jacko, great work by all, and Brooks for nailing the field goal - but Jacko directed all of that. Beautiful to watch.

The pass from Liddle to Brooks for the FG was spot on. There was a lot going on at that stage and he had to pick out Brooks under pressure.
Wouldn't have been the easiest of passes because it was almost directly behind him but he hung it out in front of Brooks just right not to crowd him out.
His passes previously from DH were for me sometimes not good enough. But not tonight he was really decisive.

The ABC commentators were saying the same thing. It disrupted what Hastings/ Brooks had going in the halves. Madden to DH would have been less disruptive

the ABC commentators interview Hastings first . He said it Brooks called that play. Hastings also went onto say how much Brooks had supported him since his arrival at the club.
They interviewed Brooks next who in typical Brooks modest style did say we had a couple of attempts and he needed to get himself in position. Hastings acted as a bit of a decoy out wider.

Watching at the ground at every stoppage you can see Hastings barking orders. If someone is not where they need to be he makes sure they know and they respond
Hastings has been excellent, Brooks has been okay. Still a lot of errors from Brooks but at least he's showing some confidence, still needs to do a lot more
Not to discredit Brooks but Hastings is the man.
So supportive and encouraging.
Uplifts those around him.
Guys an absolute star in so many ways, not just as a player.
Hall of Fame.....
He's the key, whatever he's doing is something no halves partner before has been able to do for Luke.
I'm actually very excited to see T'oa in one centre position going forward and AD returning in the other, if that is the case for us to he a success.

The moment I loved was after a South’s try. We all know Noffa has a pretty high opinion of himself. Well he didn’t mark up on Alex Johnson and Hastings let him know it. When Noffa fired back an excuse or two, Hastings pointed at the big screen , I can only imagine he offered noffa the opportunity to see how far out of position he was. Accountability that I haven’t seen in the WT playing group in years. I really hope we aren’t reading about players who can’t handle Hastings honesty. It’s what this club needs so much.

Brooks is still doing the bread and butter kicking, which he has always been very effective at, despite those who refuse to acknowledge such. It gives Hastings the opportunity to bark orders and inject himself as necessary. Little things like watching for the need to get into dummy half and getting there without having to worry about the next play make a huge difference.
It is very similar to the combination that Brooks had with Anasta back in the day, with Braith pointing and barking orders whilst Luke just got on with it without pressure. Any team is a sum of it's parts and with Hastings injection a higher level, the partnership works well to lift the whole.
