The Lurker- Full of it

Maybe so Happy. A 1st grade forward will add value to any team over an NYC forward - well in most cases, purely on experience alone. But it comes down to dollars and cents, as it seems to always do these days. well especially at the tigers. If what he is asking for doesn't equate to value on the field and he's not happy, then in my opinion he's not as good as everyone may be making out. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a solid forward. But not as good as we all may think he was a few years back when he was knocking on the door of origin.

That said, it's always easy for me to sit here, make my comments and opinions that i know will never have any impact on our team in real time. Hindsight is the true judge, and time will tell as in most examples.

I'm also taking this thread off topic. Apologies.

So back to the thread, YES I agree, rumour mill runs riots with these social media broadcasters. especially when a side is struggling.

Has Galloway been as good as we think? Or the other forwards that are around him make him look good. I think we all get this part messed up sometimes. I'll put my hand up as being guilty of being in that group too.

I think when you look at our win\ loss record when he plays compared to when he doesn't says enough Justo

Can't just be coincidence in my opinion

doesn't help when his replacement is a backrower most of the time.when you have no depth at prop you will always struggle.
over the last 2 years our prop depth has been gutted.

in saying that, galloway is extremely important to us.like woods,he will take multiple hitups per set from inside his 30.
to me that is the first step to nrl prop.next step is your second stint, which i think galloway is outstanding at.

for anyone claiming galloway is always injured, show me the average for nrl props.just once i would like to see the argument supported with some data.

i've been happy with the return on investment with galloway and would be willing to pay overs for.

Galloway = Injury prone.
… It's a myth. Factually proven.

Galloway would fit in and look good in a dragons jersey to be honest.
Not sure we will see this happen however.

Maybe headed back to The Shire,
Straight swap for Fifita.
You heard it here first, some reported will publish this next week.

Coaches on the chopping block - 31/5/13

The Cowboys' Neil Henry is not the only coach feeling the heat in the NRL in what could be one of the most dramatic years for coaching turnovers. Both the Wests Tigers' Michael Potter and the Warriors' Matt Elliott are no certainties to still be in their positions by the end of the season. Coaching first grade in the NRL provides absolutely no job security. All need wins on the board. Elliott and Potter got the two points last weekend but their bosses are looking for consistency and stability. Tim Sheens' name has again been mentioned for the Warriors job.

As stated he his full of it, Tigers don't have a CEO at the moment and barely have enough money to pay their own players how would we sack 2 coaches in 12 months.

Who in their right mind would seriously expect Potter to come in and win a premiership, or even finish top 8 in his first season. Absolutely ridiculous to think his job is on the line because of the current performance. a) Its a roster based of how sheens coached and b) the massive injury losses. If Potter was given or felt any pressure, then he doesnt deserve to work in this club. Simply unfair to judge him so far or even this year imo.

However, next year, if he is able to buy/sack players, he's fair game just like every other 1st grade coach out there. Dont expect GF presence, but better than where we will finish this by a few places. Top 8 would be a good goal. Anything inside of that, pure brilliant!

I see it like this. Potter gets a season or two leeway within reason. If by then we haven't won a premiership he should go. Long time coaching tenures haven't worked in the past.

So say for eg: if we made grand finals in 2015 & 2016 yet being runners up…or top 4 two years running going deep into the semis....youd punt him cause we didnt win a comp?

Thats what youre saying.

Thats ridiculous

since 2005: bellamy, hasler and bennet are the only ones to have won a premiership– that's 7 yearsssss

You are correct in that I would probably let that go but at the same time I think there is a limit to how long the coach can fit in.
