Perhaps another rubbish article from a “writer” who seems to be targeting us over the past 24 hours .

Most jobs are performance based. Any of the assistants that have been here through they Potter/Taylor/Ivan eras should be fearing for their jobs, and should be showing Madge what they did to assist these coaches or what they wanted done they the coaches did not follow up.

Otherwise you are part of a coaching group that have failed to perform and should consider yourself lucky that you have not followed the head coach out the door.

By and large the head coach should have the right to appoint their own assistants, and they should all have similar end dates on their contracts (or clauses) so that if the head coach goes, the assistants can be punted immediately.

I agree. It was a real low point in our history.

The only comfort for me is that there are only 5 players from that match playing on Sunday: Nofo; Brooks; Rowdy; ET; and MCK. Aloiai played also, but he is injured this time around.

So, it's a new team and a new coach and I expect to see a new steel and resolve in our performance.

I still remember on grand final day in 05, the headline on the back page of the Tele was (paraphrasing) “The rift that threatens to ruin Tigers dream”. And it was about Mark O’Neill having a fallout with Sheens over Sheens giving the captaincy to Prince. It’s not the story that is the distraction, it’s the timing of when these germs print these stories. A story like that breaks on gf day, how is that a surprise if it’s a distraction. If we lose tomorrow, expect these low lives to pat themselves on he back, justifying this garbage. It sickens me the adverse affect they try and have on the game. If any gossip columnists are ghosting this forum and this thread, do the world a favour and jump off a bridge.

I always thought the lurker was Joel Caine i dont know why i thought that, perhaps i heard it somewhere. Could be well wide of the mark not sure.

We need to significantly improve our coaching and development framework so when we bring in the best juniors, they are exposed to the best coaching and development. Each grade from HM to NRL playing similar styles so each player knows his role and therefore if called up to the NRL the transition is easier and also progression is accelerated.

It’s not the story and whether it’s true, it’s the timing and intent to derail us tomorrow that is the problem. Why didn’t we hear about this before the Knights game when our season looked over. Has it just sprung up since then? We’ve been winning, so how is it derailing us?
