The merits of City vs Country-should it stay??

I for one am a fan of the game, and altho it is not really an origin trial, it still serves a purpose.

For starters it is a rep game and an acknowledgement for players to be selected. Not everyone gets to play for Australia or SOO, so this is there opportunity to being acknowledged as talented player.

The excitement displayed by Aaron Woods when selected is reason enough to keep the game going.

Altho not an all out trial, we do still get a chance for players to push their credentials in this game and enhance their reputations.

Playing with new players and new coaches often improves players skills and opens their minds to new ideas on footy.

There is a risk of injury in the game (like every other game), but blokes can get hurt training and you cant wrap people in cotton wool.

I for one hope it continues, what do others think.

I'm happy for it to stay. I like being able to see some rivalries more often, like Farah vs Ennis. I also think it should help NSW to build better combinations, having key players play alongside each other, not just during SoO.

I think that if we are going to continue having a representative week without club games, we definitely need City Country. I would say we should have more games this weekend, including a QLD City Country game.

I love it.
Ever year I look forward to it just as much as I do the Test Match.

Yeah I don't mind it, but wouldn't lose any sleep if it got canned. And to be honest I hardly ever watch it

Hope none of our blokes get injured

Keep it. I know from a country point of view it's our chance to show that we can take it to the city slickers

I don't have an issue with it , but to say that a player has played rep footy because he has been selected to play City v Country is drawing a long bow

Rep footy should be SOO or Test footy

Do they still play the traditional City vs Country. I know a lot of the boys who play out in the bush played really hard to get Country Jerseys.
