I cant see that JT, he deserves all he gets ive got nothing but good words and respect for him and think he did right by us and finally deserved to be in a much better team of many more stars of similar quality and a winning culture club and NSW and Australian Rep Just Too Good im sure we produced him
I think you are in the minority there.
The concept you put forward - he deserved to be in a "better team" with "more stars" and "winning culture"... makes me sick. What you are talking about is the specific reason that the salary cap exists, because if all the elite players ever do is want to play with other elite players, then the comp is forever lop-sided.
And they wouldn't be playing for Roosters, they'd all be playing for Broncos. Don't ever be mistaken that if they ever remove the salary cap, Broncos have the money and the benefactors to buy everyone.
No, the best players in the world make their team better, bring their team-mates to their level. That is why I can respect Cooper Cronk, because he's not just a great footballer, but he makes his entire side better. He organises, he lifts, he leads the way. Tedesco is a great talent but he's not a team player, he's an individual talent.
Tigers will never be competitive if any decent players leave because they want to play for "better" sides. It is self-fulfilling, because you can't become a better side if you always lose your best players.
So the idea that you are cool with that, that you think Tedesco spent enough time at the club and it was now time to let him go and find success - I detest that idea. Tedesco is a self-interested mercenary. He has accepted a bigger offer from a rival club EVERY time he's been off contract. If I was Roosters, I'd either have a very big paper bag ready in 2 seasons, or be prepared for other clubs to drop massive offers on Tedesco - offers, from history, that he's a very good chance of taking.
Tedesco is just Glenn Morrison Mk II, except that it didn't work out for Morrison the way he'd hoped.
Whole heartedly agree. But Teddy didn't leave for more money this time, he left for the chance to win premierships. Pretty sure we offered over a million for him and he's on the books at the Roosters for around 800k. He wanted to be a winner at all costs, and take the easy way to get there, which is pretty common for athletes these days (look at Kevin Durant going to the Warriors, even Cronk choosing to go to the Roosters etc). Glory seems to Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon money and loyalty these days.
