The National Anthem

@DieHarder

Honestly, providing for my family, protecting them and loving them comes so far ahead of anything else, all the rest is just white noise.

@Abraham you do understand the meaning of privilege don't you? When used in this context white privilege are your circumstances and the advantages that come from those circumstances. You cannot tell me that there are not advantages to being born white in our society , that is a simple fact. No one is asking you to feel guilty about the circumstances you're born into, no one is really asking you to do anything about it outside of the acknowledgement that those advantages are there

Since you say matter can’t come from non matter.

I already answered this in my previous post.

Send me a private message if you still don't understand.

Now let's all stand for the Anthem.

Let me know when you receive that Nobel Prize.

@Abraham The first part of your post was absolute drivel, and the second part was just you bathing in your own ego. You offered no suggestions/solutions for the topic at hand besides talking about yourself - as if you had found the blueprint. Give me a break. All this is silly

@cochise Okay so lets see if the facts about Australia back up your statements.

Tell me what job is only available to white people?

Tell me what school is only available to white people?

Tell me what establishment bans entry to non-whites?

Tell me what positions are reserved for white people?

I mean, if white people have all the privileges in Australia, you should be able to rattle off a dozen examples of each before i finish typing this sentence.

And when you have finished that, i would like an explanation as to why so many non-whites are so successful in Australia. Have they used skin lightening products and culturally appropriated white privilege from the whites? Or is Australia just a great country to live in if you work hard and make the right choices?

"Get a job boys...work hard boys, make good decisions despite the circumstances, my parents were immigrants, trust me boys. Everything will be sweet stop complaining. Just work hard that's it"

That's what you sound like. Like a self righteous fool who struggles to understand the most basic of concepts. You, you, you.

@Danny-Blanco Except you haven't proposed a single opposing argument, or a single fact to demonstrate my drivel. I mean, why bother going to the effort to have a discussion, when a barrage of insults saves so much time and brain cells.

You also seem to have a problem that i have worked hard to have a successful career. I can't help you with that one ... maybe try not to be covetus (Corinthians 6:9–11).

@Danny-Blanco ok lets try it your way.

Don't get a good job, don't work hard, complain like a [This word has been automatically removed] ... lets see where that leads.

@Danny-Blanco loll ... you mentioned my career 3 times in a row out of nowhere and im the narcistist? :joy:

Habib stop stalking me and get a job.

@Abraham I don't like your reasoning Abraham, but I do like your name and the fact that you go for my beloved tigers so we'll leave it there for now buddy.

@TIGER You still don't understand? And you haven't sent me a PM either?

Guess your more interested in grandstanding your inability to understandd basic logic then anything else.

All good my friend. I'm pulling the plug on this convo. Enjoy your long weekend.

@Abraham
@Danny-Blanco

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, but I've understood Abraham was saying that if you work hard, people are drawn to you and opportunity comes from that.

As in, while there are many that can't be helped by simply "getting a job", there are many that can fix a lot (not all) of their problems in life by deciding they have more control over their circumstances than they think.

I know this is a heated argument and I'm not having a go at anyone here.

@weststigers %100 agree with what you've stated. Properossi has put up great links/official statistics regarding the above. My friend Abraham was struggling to see the bigger picture though - no beef.

If 1 hard working white fella and 1 hard working black fella with identical CV's went for the same job, who do you think will get the job based on social perception alone? 50/50 even split? 40/60?, 70/30? there are so many studies out there - the odds are stacked against minorities. Very small numbers are represented in the private sector and in government - sectors that basically run the country in tandem. The point is as it's always been; It doesn't matter how hard you work or how positive you are, statistically speaking, the odds are against you. Does that give someone free reign to do and say whatever, to feel victimised, rebel against the system, be mad at white people and the world, NO! nobody is saying that. If we're going to set the ship straight we're going to have to come to some terms, and we're going to have to work together because the old ways weren't/aren't working. Everyone wants a fair go. That's what Australia was built on - fair go and Mateship but I'm seeing less and less of it as times goes by. We only have a short time on this earth, we don't know how lucky we are to live here in Australia man the land down under it's not even a joke. Be kind to 1 another
