after tonight im now convinved the NRL is rigged. souths in 9th place 3 games behind tigers in 5th, they just want a close comp it explains the inconstiancy of the refs the players the teams everything! and you cant tell me Russell Crowe is thrwoing $$$$$ everywhere to have his bunnies in the 8
 
nothing to blame but our own stinking patheticness tonight.
there's no way that that 3rd rate rabble souffs should have been close enough for the ref to matter but we just kept playing them back into it

He's right. I have been sure of it ever since the Melbourne scandal came out. The referees are influencing the games to create drama and keep the whole competition close. Honestly if you don't believe it, you are naive. How else do you explain the most obvious off side in history not being given within penalty goal range. How else do you explain the blatant John Sutton knock on when he went down injury being missed. How else do you explain a five metre forwards pass being missed completely. Incompetence? Every week? From every set of referees? Puh-lease. You are all the ones that need to wisen up. Interpretations changing every week with no announcement on multiple rules? How about that call when the Tigers escaped the in goal after Latu allegedly grounded it, BUT DIDN'T ANYWAY, and even if he had have grounded it, I have seen that exact things be called either way depending on what is in the best interest of the game remaining competitive.

Also, I firmly believe the Tigers will make the 8\. We will win next week, lose to the Eels, win the following week and then lose to the Titans. And you know what, the referees will make sure we'll make the finals.
 
and its happening not just with tigers games too, have a look at the other games

souths were in 9th place, had they lost the top 8 would have been already decided with 4 weeks left they want thease last 4 weeks full of excitement

how the hell does a team like Newcastle be down 52-0 after 50 mins come out flog Manly 2 weeks later? and Manly 5 days later come out and show up against the storm????

think logically here it all doesn't make sense

If the NRL is indeed rigged, why did Titans beat Parra last night?

Seems quite odd for the league's "fairytale" team to lose 2 in a row in such a "controlled" competition, don't you think?

I smell trolls.
 
Agree, agree, agree. I don't care if these people think we're idiots Golden. I've been convinced of it since like round 3.

As far as what bigdamo said, the point being the game needed the Tigers to win last week and not the Sharks. The Sharks are gone anyway. The Cowboys and the Sharks won't win another game this season unless it means that the team they are playing against needs to lose.

I do realise how absurd I sound.
