Just been thinking about how … the other guys. in the team must they be feeling with all the contact talk going on for over a year now they must be pretty sick of it the self-proclaimed or media proclaimed 4...... Must be disheartening for them
 
Especially when someone like woods puts pressure on them saying he wants to string wins together so that HE can be in a good frame of mind to make HIS decision on his future with them.
Seems to be the wrong reason to wanna be stringing some wins together

I was under the impression that being club captain Woods would string some wins together for the benefit of the club,team and his salary that he is now receiving,not what he thinks he should be receiving..,
 
Most of them are off contract too aren't they? They must feel very uncertain as they sit back wondering if the club will want them next year.
 
Well obviously they're not good enough. Otherwise the big 4 would be playing finals footy and wouldn't have to consider going elsewhere

Just yet another example of why he's a joke of a captain. When Kent put it to him the other night about whether he"d spoken to Moses about staying on for the rest of the year, he gave a matey answer. Kent had to clarify and ask if he"s spoken to him as a captain. I know I keep harping on about it, but he's an embarrassment to the club on how he presents himself and "represents" us. And what's worse is the club seems to happy to sit back and allow him to keep doing it

ur dead set right and when he asked graham if he would try to keep a player he was right on the mark, woods needs to listen and learn.
 
The more of the pie Woods and teddy take, if indeed they take it, will be less for their team mates to share around

What's the club realistically going to do to stop him doing it though…...take the captaincy off him? That's about all they could do and that would probably just push him further away from WT. The club really isn't at fault, they have put their offer to him now the ball is out of their hands.
Totally agree that he isn't captain material and is playing the club and us supporters, let alone his teammates, like imbeciles.

This is Exactly what has happened with Woods. Woods is a great forward, a great ambassador for the Tigers and a great player. WAY to young to be Captain (unless a co-captain with 5 others).

WHY all the HATE? Because Woods can't handle the extra media duties, he seriously would rather be in thongs chatting with mates on a couch playing mario cart. The guys not captain material, OK, We get it.

Let Woods step back, let someone else (maybe Lawrence) step forward and have everything return to normal. Don't hate out on Woods, a good forward and a good tiger just because he is not a good Captain.
 
As I stated weeks ago, it was not his fault he was made captain, and he was hailed by one and all on accepting the crown. He sort of leads from behind in the opposite direction regarding the contracts.

Good to see someone with a balanced realistic approach rather than the vitriolic attacks by the vocal minority.

From what I have read on this forum and other forms of social media over the last month or two, you seem to be the minority. Most of us are over it. We're over the constant moving of the goal posts. First it was they wanted to see how we started the year, then it was seeing who the new coach would be, then it was seeing how we go under the new coach, now he doesn't want to make any rash decisions why he's in a bad head space. Not sure what the next excuse will be, maybe they will wait to see if we"re going to play finals. They"re taking the club and supporters for a ride. That might be okay to some, but to the majority of us it's poor form. Especially when these are words and actions from the captain of the club.
 
Hopefully Woods & Teddy have finalised there arrangements with the club and we are now waiting for the cooling off period to finish before there is an announcement.

If Moses is released, I'm expecting to see someone from Parra at WT training in the coming weeks, plus Ben Matulino wearing our stripes by the end of May.

The picture should be clearer for everyone else at the club over the next month, but if they think they are gona get any gravy, I think they will be disappointed.

Can Parra force a player to come here…?

Will that player be better than the guy he will be replacing or 'the other guys'..?

Matuilino is still in rehab..

I doubt they've signed anywhere yet. If they had it would probably have become common knowledge the way it has with Broses, even though there still has been no official announcement on either of them.

And that is exactly why simply increasing the salary cap is a joke. Only a select few benefit and then there's the also rans who, I might add are probably more deserving of a significant pay increase in many cases.
