Hopefully he stays on the park and sticks around long enough to make good....

I still think our best halves pairing is AD and Hastings. I always said Brooks was in trouble this year and Hastings wasn't bought to be a ball playing lock forward.

Brooks has surprised me though. I think he has been good at 6 and good at dummy half when he was played there.

The big question is how Doueihi performs when he comes back and what injuries we get.

It's going to be interesting who we retain out of our 4 halves. My take is Brooks would be perfect as a no 14 for the club. You just have to pay him appropriately.

It's going to be interesting how this plays out over the rest of the season.

AD will comeback at centre.

But return to 6 , sooner rather than later.

Brooks can get 1.1m from the bench, he'll probably love that. 🚮
 
One thing that amuses me on this forum is when newcomers have a couple of bad games they are condemned as hopeless for example gildart and peachy yet Brooks there 8 years and he still needs more time ? I think we need two halfs who are game changers .we have one in Hastings. We need power forwards to give go- forward !
We already have a great experienced backline Laurie,Nofo,Roberts,Naden ,Douehi, Maumalo (just get them fit and on the field)
 
Does anyone think that if we had Siliva Havila and Hame Sele last week off our bench instead of Kelma and Seyfarth we would of won the game?
Seems to me really what we are lacking is a couple of hard hitting impact props.

Those two were unwanted purchases as well and have spent probably 2/3rds of their career in NSWcup.

Really we should be looking harder for those types of players and offering them ‘overs’

Yep, I took interest at the time and I thought overrated, but people saying he does the 1%, what about the other 99%?
Still a good footy player but like all of it needs to be at the right cash.

Your boy Brooks is the one that needs to learn how to tackle. He's missed 43 of them so far in 10.5 games this year

I hope they don't leave nofo out 5 weeks in a row I seem to remember him playing well up until the concussion try doubles against Parramatta and south's those two and game 1 against storm probably our best 3 games
If its just to get back match fitness ok

Playing well I guess. But if the plan is for Doueihi to return to the centres To’a’s speed is a must next to him.
We would have speed and strike accross the field then.
To’a could go 18th man I just don’t think he deserves to be dropped, just moved from the Centres.

That’s kinda my point.
They aren’t that good but due to their body shape they were able to get the yards needed for Souths and change the game.
There are improvements on them in other sides in Afoa, Lisone, Ese Ese’, Sutton, RFM.
We need at least 1 preferably 2 of this type of prop / impact runner.

Shame Mikaele didn't work out.

Those lads are solid like Paulo.

I think we have well established that our players can slot into most other teams - some who have managed to earn themselves contracts exceeding what we have paid them based on their performance under much maligned current coach - however we have lacked quality in key positions that the teams who have any chance of succeeding do have.

Toa seems to be a bit like gildart good sidestep but not great defensively
He was half of our right side that let 4 tries in a few days ago .Nofo a good finisher and makes big yardage coming out of our own end
