The rumour mill has gone into overdrive

Now it looks like Penrith are weighing in with a big offer for Benchy.
The rumour mill has hit overdrive I wonder what's next one can only hope Blair is off to the Warriors!!!

I remember the last time Penrith tried to sign somebody from us, we reacted by hastily extending his deal which was a massive mistake…

Benji and Soward in the halves?????They may have a defensive problem or two. Penrith have shown interest in every 6 or 7 that is in the NRL. With Brooks and Mosses coming through the ranks and they should be ready for FG within two seasons, I would say "see you later aligator"

I'm guessing you weren't talking about Tom Humble or Geoff Daniela

They'd be a pretty good halves pairing in attack though…Benji needs a good halfback and a good coach to be effective. He'd probably do very well at Penrith next year.

Good luck to them. If they want to throw that sort of money at benchy, then I suppose it's bye bye benji.

That's it , they can have him.
Not that I don't appreciate what he's done for the club in the past , but we can't keep living in the past .

Got a lot of respect for Cleary as a coach, but I think he would even struggle to turn Benji around. Gus and Benji could stroke each others ego

Was it? We are clearly doing so much better this year without him.

Based on his consistent form over the past two years the only team likely to sign Blair is the Illawarra Cutters.

I think Benji has been a victim of a club with a very poor recruitment record. I have no doubt had Prince and Marshall stayed together we would have made a few more grand finals. Not having a recongnised number 7 has really been a problem for the Tigers. I love the way Benji plays off the cuff football and Potter should not try and change that but it seems to me he has had a whisper in his ear. While his form has been inconsistent over the past two seasons, I feel we would have been better served to put Benji back to NSW cup and bring in another forward for the match against the Rabbits. Dropping Benji to NSW cup is not a punishment but an opportunity for him to find the confidence to play to his best. I guess time will tell. Go Tigers!

Funny how these rumour tend to appear when contract negotioations are on the table, nothing better to tell the club you have benn fielding offers to up the price a bit. Businessman Benji!

Well channel 10 said he agreed to the new deal just waiting for the board to approve.

damn….as much as i hate his form right now i can't believe he's actually leaving. Can you imagine Benji Marshall lining up for the Panthers at Leichardt?

good bloody memories. 10 years of em. :bawling

guess we gotta look to the future; but everyone knows that benji will always be remembered as a Tiger.

I could be wrong as i didnt see the bit on channel 10, but i think he means that Benji has agreed to the tigers deal, not penriths

oh, thanks king! misinterpreted that haha, sounded a bit odd that the board had to approve. I assumed he meant approve his release.

That's good, i love the guy and what he's done for us and just wanna see him out there tearing teams to shreds to make his career standout so he can be counted against the greats in this generation of players!

But, if he continues on this trajectory I guess we'll have no choice.

Currently overated, only the Warriors, Penrith or Parra would make a move. If he wants to be a Tiger for life, then the money shouldn't really worry him…...right?
