The Run Home

Just did a Ladder Predictor and the win yesterday is massive for our chances in getting in.

Obviously best case scenario for us is 32 Competition points .

The teams that matter and there run home :

Panthers–-------------------------the result i predicted
vs Roosters ( H )--------------------------win
vs Knights ( A )---------------------------win
vs Wests Tigers ( H )---------------------lose
vs Titans ( A )----------------------------lose
vs Manly ( H )----------------------------win

Warriors
vs Rabbits ( H )--------------------------win
vs Cowboys ( A )------------------------lose
vs Wests Tigers ( H )--------------------lose
vs Eels ( H )------------------------------win

Titans
vs Wests Tigers ( A )--------------------lose
vs Knights ( A )--------------------------win
vs Panthers ( H )------------------------win
vs Cowboys ( A )------------------------lose

Wests Tigers
vs Titans ( H )---------------------------win
vs Panthers ( A )-------------------------win
vs Warriors ( A )-------------------------win
vs Raiders ( H )--------------------------win

With these Predictions i ended up with a Ladder as follows

7th Wests Tigers 32 Points
8th Panthers 28 Points
9th Warriors 28 Points
10th Titans 27 Points

Obviously i've done a prediction on us being one eyed and best case scenario .
I think we can only afford to loose 1 more game and still get in the 8 , we lose 2 games ? our for and against won't get us over the line as the other sides around us a much better but anything can happen.

Anyone disagrees with this ?

Well done mate, did us all a favour. I have us dropping one game , but we really need to put the titans away this weekend. Panthers have newcastle and warriors have rabbitohs, so both to win. Penriths for and against today has gone to positives so we really need to finish higher. I hAve this funny feeling tigers will finish 8th and bulldogs will finish 5th. 60,000 people going crazy at ANZ stadium with Tedesco scoring the matchwinner with a minute to go.

Out of the eight and next week regardless we win or lose probably remain so with NZ and Penrith playing well up against Souths at home and Newcastle.
For and against may get us because JT killed off our attack and didn't do enough to shore up our defense.

The old adage one game at a time certainly applies here however - I think we can beat Titans at home and I am hoping Canberra by round 26 cant improve their position in the top 4 so a win to us is on the cards. I don't think we can beat the Warriors in NZ which sets up the Panthers away in 2 weeks as a make or break game.

Really???

Seriously though, I think we will have to win every match from here to be a chance of making it. We are in the worst position of all the contenders because of our crap points differential. I'm pretty sure that the Panthers will finish above us, but who knows how the rest will pan out. Lots of prayers needed and fingers crossed 😛ray:

It will be a massive effort to make the eight from here as every game is on a tightrope and while it is great to watch our blokes build up, it will only take a crap ref decision or similar to see it fall in a heap. Having said that, if they do make the eight it will be on the back of huge momentum and the corks will be popping.

Whichever teams end up in 7th and 8th are going to be dangerous because they'll be coming off a month of do or die football. I think the Bulldogs and Broncos might find themselves bundled out in R1 of the finals this year (assuming they finish 5 and 6).

Raiders could also rest a few players if they are safely in the Top 4 and have at least 2 semi finals ahead.

It'd be hugely disappointing to miss out from here tbh. So many wasted games early in the season that may yet mean this form is all for nought.

Yet they only won by 5 points more than we did.

Here are the facts big boy, in 2 games verse the knights we are 36 the knights 30 for 2 competition points, the eagle are 62 knights 26 for 4 competition points, so they are plus 36 and 4 competition points to our plus 6 and 2 competition points. :astonished:

The success we've had the last 2 months, it must be getting harder and harder to twist the fact we actually are a competitive team now. When was the last time we were still in contention for the 8 this late in the yr?

I am not twisting the facts, I am hoping we make the 8, but we need the coach to pick the best team, not just say he is picking the best team, I have picked the tigers the last 2 weeks, a no brainer in the tips.
But next week we play a decent side, we can't have JT's half baked hooker rotation if we are any hope, it is pretty simple really, well to most of us it is.

The coach can not do anymore than what he is doing 3 wins from 3 starts the best players are obviously on the park ..just because a favourite player is not selected it is not the best team well that is objective .personally I think Taylor is selecting the best balanced side he has…it is all about balance ask any one that knows a thing about the game ..balance is the key!

It would appear we can. Look, i know pride can be very hard to swallow, but id at least start to consider the fact i was wrong about this if i were you and our results are justifying JT's decision. You put it out there and said we couldn't beat a decent team. Well we did, yet you haven't stopped complaining about this.
