The Run Home

Hopefully the eels can keep this going against souths, that would make our job easier after parra lose their points.

It's so frustrating counting the numbers this far out from finals. If only we beat the Roosters, Knights and Titans. And for that matter Melbourne that loss could prove costly.

Yeh well. Do you reckon it is really going to happen? I reckon the NRL will wimp out. Eels will keep their points proving beyond doubt what a basket case this comp is.

Yep, i think that Melbourne loss and that Knights loss with the ball kicked on the field will cost us this year.

It's nice to dream, but really I do not see our side putting a winning streak together. It will be rocks and diamonds and I suppose that is what you would expect from a team full of kids. Although I do expect them to make some big steps in closing the gap between us and the better sides, but as usual we will beat the odd team we were at long odds to beat and get rolled by a team we were odds on to win.

It's not all doom and gloom, imagine being a Manly,Souths or Chooks supporter

According to nrl.com Nofoaluma and Koroibete are marking each other for the "final time this weekend before the latter heads off to the 15-man game". Considering the Storm are coming second, does this mean we will not make the finals?

To be honest after the 40 mins dished out today (not the first time)…which I have not seen by any other club, really dont give a shit for the rest of the year and I bet half the team feels the same too. I personally would be changing career if I was to perform like that! Its really gonna be a a long time before some joy. Cronulla will probably win 2 or 3 comps before we make the GF again or even look close.

Saturday was a massive bellwether for me, and we got through it very strongly.
I've been very cynical over our chances all year, but I am starting to come around - we're as good a shot as any to make the 8 if we can keep key players fit.

we have every chance to make the top 8
We play most teams above us on the ladder at least one more time
We take 2 points away from those games to better our chances and hamper theirs
Its really in the hands of the players and how badly they want to play finals footy

If we continue the good form from last night we will be a good chance of a safe top 8.
The dream stays alive..

First things first, we need to beat the dogs.

I think we are a great chance of making the 8, barring injury or internal conflict, but I give us no chance of beating the Dogs.
