The Run Home

As others have said, this may well come down to points difference - this weekend is our best opportunity to rectify that, especially against a fellow semi-contender.

Just done same math…
Excluding games against us...

Each of the teams below are on 20 points this is how they finish up if they win their home games.

WARRIORS Currently on 20: Wins against home teams finish on 26
Raiders (L), Panthers (W), Titans (L), Rabbitohs (W), Cowboys (L), Tigers (N/A), Eels (W)

DRAGONS Currently on 20: Wins against home teams finish on 26
Tigers (N/A), Bulldogs (L), Broncos (W), Sharks (W), Roosters (L), Eels (L), Knights (W)

TITANS Currently on 20: Wins against home teams finish on 26
Eels (W), Sharks (L), Warriors (W), Tigers (N/A), Knights (L), Panthers (W), Cowboys (L)

PANTHERS Currently on 20: Wins against home teams finish on 24
Broncos (L), Warriors (L), Roosters (W), Knights (L), Tigers (N/A), Titans (L), Sea Eagles (W)

TIGERS Currently on 18: Wins against home teams finish on 22 (Excluding games against above.
Dragons (N/A), Eels (L), Cowboys (W), Titans (N/A), Panthers (N/A), Warriors (N/A), Raiders (W)

We are up against it, but it is certainly the case that the destiny is in out own hands!

If the above teams only Win their home games (not against us) and we win against each of them we can finish on 30 points.
If we drop one game against any of them we can finish on 28 points the team we lose to will elevate 2 points. If the above results go our way, the team we want to loose to would be the Panthers.

On the brightside ,if by some miracle we do make the eight we will have some momentum.
Better that than scraping into the eight with a low win ratio.

Good point
If we make it, we'll have earnt it that's fo sho

I can live with missing the eight if the last seven are positive and we head into the off season with something to build on

Reports that Thurston is out for 3 weeks

Makes the game at Leichhardt much more winnable

We got a good record against then they aswell.
Just put in this week boys, the run in could become very exciting

The Panthers look like they've blown a bit of that scenario out of the water already , and shown up the Broncos for what they really are, on their own dung heap as well

Who would of thought…. I didn't see the Panthers capable of that.
They looked like they just got home against the Eels once they lost both their centre's...
Definitely makes the job tougher but still it all starts Sunday, we lose that we don't deserve to be talking about the 8.
Oh and the commentators are saying that winning that the Panthers game tonight all came down to defence;
LIstening Steve?

i never like maths but the table just got messier with Panthers winning

They improved a few things tonight

Ladder position
+-
Their confidence

I dont want to admit this but Moylan looks so confident, i know Teddy owned him last time we met but i dont feel too good about the next game when we travel there

same can be said for us

I totally agree , imo we needed to beat the Dogs

Juro curve has us at 18% Top 8 and I reckon that's pretty close to the mark as far as our chances go

No the Dogs game we lost 32-22 , I think we might drop the Cows and Raiders games

If we'd beaten the Dogs I reckon we'd had probably made the 8

Still can be done
We were no chance of beating the dogs yet we nearly did
In the same way Panthers were no chance tonight yet they walked away with the win

We wont get gifted 2 points, we have to earn them each week like Panthers did tonight..

Question is can we lift ?
