Pascoe. Bringing misery to WT fans for most of the decade. What a man. It’s the height of insolence, arrogance, selfishness and contempt for fans, members and sponsors for this current management to keep pretending that they know how to run things.
They know how to lose, they know how to get the spoon, they know how to destroy faith and dignity but they are very good at appointing their mates.
No sane sponsor will want anything to do with us soon.
Maybe Centrelink, that’s about it.
Daine Laurie brought to you by Newstart Allowance. Great.
The official line is that the COE is going to bring us success.Pascoe. Bringing misery to WT fans for most of the decade. What a man.
Well by deduction we know that he didn’t have a starting role in this development club bullshit because that only turns up when Tim arrives.Pascoe. Bringing misery to WT fans for most of the decade. What a man.
Phil is talking out his arse as usual!Phil Gould explains some of the intricacies of the salary cap
Speaking on his podcast Six Tackles with Gus last week, Phil Gould offered some insight into how clubs in the NRL transfer players to try and gain advantages in their salary cap.
“Melbourne Storm requested Josh Addo-Carr and let’s say I said yes,” Gould began.
“The process would have been this, we terminated Addo-Carr’s contract now and we sign a contract from November onwards for next year.
“He goes and signs a new contract with the Melbourne Storm and he plays for them.
"They pay him whatever they’re going to pay him but it needs to be the equivalent or more of what we were going to pay during that period.
Not sure what it promised under Pascoe & co......I cannot recall a season before that promised so much to then literally disintegrate week by week till we reach this forlorn last home game at Leichhardt.
I and my clan will be there, but ........... it is surreal, a bit like an out-of-body experience where things team-related have happened and as bad as they are, there's nothing I can do to change the disaster before me.
no@Kul I would like to request a spoon 2022 banner on the homepage, that is to be kept there until we make the finals 😁😁😁
It’s been made very clear for sometime that a decision was made to invest in what’s been labelled “junior pathways” for some 3 or 4 years ago. Basically from the time that Taylor blew them up.Well by deduction we know that he didn’t have a starting role in this development club bullshit because that only turns up when Tim arrives.
No doubt it sounded good and he nodded along.
But whether he likes it or not, just like board, he is part of the junta that got us into this mess. An extension perhaps.
Now he’s had to go along with the new wave and distance himself from the past.
We see a lot him and the COE and he’s bathing in that glory for all it’s worth, as he would.
Ask him any question and I think he deflects to COE as quickly as he can.
He’s a survivor, if the board do ever go, somehow he will scrape through. The Bear Grills of NRL CEO’s.
3 or 4 years of junior pathways and the spoon and now another 5 years of development, these kids will be 30 before they develop into first graders. It’s been made very clear for sometime that a decision was made to invest in what’s been labelled “junior pathways” for some 3 or 4 years ago. Basically from the time that Taylor blew them up.
With Noddy working out there before Sheens got here.
Just because Sheens changed the title - it doesn’t mean it didn’t already exist.
Clip him all you like, but be honest and fair about it…. Or at least try!!
I see there is 2 extra years of spoon.
How many players did we use this year? It’s not a conspiracy. It’s a result of failure and neglect for the past 10 years since Tim was sacked.
We just suck and have never worked out how to stop sucking.
This will take more than a quick fix to turn it a around.
The best part of being anchored to the bottom is that year by year the results gained have been contradictory to managements expectations of the squad.
Hopefully this is the breaking point for management to get out of la la land and stop making ridiculous claims regarding the strength of our squad.
In addition I hope they also tune into the fact that yes you need a deep squad to remain competitive however you need to put all your focus on your top 20 players.
It’s effectively counter productive to pre plan for failure of the top players through either form or injury.
Why do you need to spread your cap over 30 players when 95% of the time you will be playing naming the same 18-20 players through a season.
33 equal most with a couple of other teams. How many players did we use this year?
I get it mate. 👍33 equal most with a couple of other teams.
Don’t get me wrong you will need to play all 30 if not more sometimes.
But.
You want to have the majority of your cap spent on ensuing you have the strongest game day 17 not the best cover through the season. There are teams like Melbourne and the Rabbitohs who also used 33 this year but the difference is the players from 25 to 33 have been recruited to the club because of the reputation of the first grade squad.
What I’m saying is. If we have the strongest team we can field and stay fit we have a greater chance of winning. We have a greater change of appealing more attractive to back up players and we have the greater chance of retaining our talented juniors.
Spend the cap man. Field a strong 17. For mine we still need to strengthen our forward pack. Need to move on Tamou, Musgrove, Liddle at a minimum and sign a Junior Paulo type as a minimum.
