The Wooden Spoon battle

All the anxiety which many WT supporters have expressed on this forum about their team finishing with the wooden spoon is very much unfounded. We are now entering the last round of the competition and you will see what I mean when you see the ladder statistics for the bottom 7 teams in the competition.

1\. Of the 7 bottom teams there are 3 bottom teams with 20 points to their credit.
2\. The remaining 4 bottom teams have only 22 points which is only one win more than the three bottom teams.
3\. Of all the 7 bottom teams Wests Tigers has the best For and Against Average, second only to Canberra.

Take the above statistics into account and you will see that many of us have been very harsh in judging this year's performance of a very young, financially hampered team. Give due credit and encouragement where it is due.

Lol that would be of some comfort if we all hadn't witnessed the season. We have been great a couple of times, good a couple of times and the rest has been awful.

Stryker, our friend Newtown was putting some gloss on a not so glossy season and I tend to agree with him…as I said many times before, look at the positives rather than the negatives, and it doesn't hurt so much.... :astonished:

Just like the 6 other teams at the bottom of the table.

BTW..didn't Parra get the spoon last year..or was that the year before?

Cronulla won the spoon last year. Pretty sure it was Parra for each of the two years before that.

tiger to loose by 100 to win the spoon??

Phew! Don't think that will happen, we've dodged a bullet there  I must admit I thought the Titans were specials for it a few weeks back, but they rallied while the Knights have capitulated in recent weeks, except against us of course :unamused:
