Yeh bruh our identity is gone. I mean like why we playing 3 balmain, 3 Cambo and then 4 at Bankwest. We need a home ground I know it’s farfectched but I think the club should back Liverpool. It’s roughly in the middle and our growth area is southwest. It has a station connecting to cambo and toward leichardt area at central and concord. We could really make it our own if we do share with wsw or MacArthur fc . The stadium needs to be ours though so know bulldogs sharing. I know Liverpool is surrounded by dogs territory but if we can just take over Liverpool we can make it our own
Somewhat like south’s have done with homebush

Dogs will make a play for liverpool we will be second fiddle there like we are at bankwest

Liverpool is Bulldogs territory. Always has been.

Actually it belongs to the Magpies and now the WT.

Remember as a kid hearing Peter Moore on some radio talk back show with Ray Warren I think and saying Canterbury was looking at Liverpool then.
But remember in 1986 when the League was trying to boot Wests out for the 3rd time in 5 years Moore was on of the delegates on the NSWRL board and in a deal with Rick Wayde the deal was Moore was vote for Wests retention in the competition providing they play at Campbelltown and give most of their juniors to the dogs the rest going to Balmain as well as Rick helping set up Lasers disco at Canterbury leagues (in the process fame nightclub at Wests Ashfield went downhill).

The deal included Liverpool.

For whats it worth we must protect our claim because going forward if one thinks whats our identity well look at the dogs with their demographic change. Won't be long before it affects their supporter and juniors fan base so they may try to muscle this back especially now that Gould is there.
He cares little for our club.

Yeah, nah. It’s Bulldogs. The Bulldogs know it, the NRL knows it, and the media knows it. Perception is reality, as people keep telling me on this forum.

Haha, heard Gould say it's all smoke and mirrors maybe that's what you mean

But no it's not a view I subscribe to as your probably seeing.
Canterbury is a club which operates in a way of whats theirs is theirs and whats yours is theirs.

A deal is a deal.

Footnote.
Peter Moore also seconded a motion forwarded by Ken Arthurson for Wests to be kicked out initially in 1983 so this was hard won.

It’s the last round and we are building up to the final series and every media outlet want to do a feature article on the failures of the Weststigers. Is there a hidden agenda, I don’t get what’s interesting talking about a team that is going to finish about 13th.

You would think they would be pumping up the finals series and the teams involved rather than finding new theories on why our club is on permanent struggle street. If it was ground breaking news ok, but it’s the same rehashed garbage every time.

Non Tiger supporters must get sick and tired of seeing our club hog all the sport sections in the paper and on the net.
I wonder what they would do if we had some success, I guess find another club to rubbish

G'day @supercoach Us Aussies love to barrack for the underdog, the battler, anyone that bleeds black white and gold, and last but not least the fibros.
That's why they choose Wests Tigers over the posh born with a silver spoon teams.

Picking over the scabs of our past, hopefully whatever lessons that were there to be learnt have been. But also hopefully whatever is media axe grinding in this article and all others out there is ignored.

Finally read the article.
Disappointed with Lee’s comments. Bit of finger pointing. I’m no he is newer to the role than Madge or Pascoe but his essentially saying I’ve done all I can, they have failed me. Odd to me when most of his comments he makes are with him included in the subject. I get his the major sponsor of the club and puts his own or his businesses money into the club so he has a right to be disappointed in not getting return for the investment. However he is also the Chairman and he in this is part of the problem and at the same time part of the solution. Take some ownership.

I feel Pascoe on the other hand does take ownership. He is heavily involved in the club football and operations departments understandably as CEO but he acknowledges that in the bounds of his role his ultimately accountable for the successes and failures of the Wests Tigers and any moves under his leadership are his responsibility.

I understand people have their problems with Madge’s style etc and are concerned it isn’t the right mix.
However and I’m glad it was here in print.
Not being able to recruit players to Wests Tigers is not a Madge issue.
Our previous coach couldn’t convince his own Son to join him for a very healthy contract but in addition to that they initially set out to recruit Gareth Widdop. That was Pascoe, Egan and Ivan to replace Mitchell Moses.
Offering a four year avg $875 dollar deal and after being declined, turned their attention to luring Reynolds from Canterbury-Bankstown by offering $300k + 2 extra years on his offer to remain at his junior club.

But as a expressed it was pleasing to see Pascoe take responsibility for these failings it was also pleasing to read that the acquisition of both Hartigan and Woodward was step towards ensuring new recruitment goes through a more measured approach.

I’m turning in to part 2. It does seem as though things are starting to turn around in every direction other than the final result on the scoreboard.

The reason is football is so crap at the moment there's nothing more interesting to talk about.

G'day 63, thanks for the kind words.
I've been posting on and off here since July 2005 some of you probably remember me , and even when not posting I always drop by and read the posts.

I used to especially like on the old forum the section on Wests and Balmain history and miss that but must admit the new forum works better on the tech side.

Don't worry mate your not alone and apart from the dudes you mentioned loads of other Maggie's are out their maybe some are a bit lame from all the bad luck, ,conspiracies (yes they do exist) rorts and the like and maybe don't speak out as much but not me as you've worked out haha, don't mind provoking a reaction standing up for what I think as Bruce Gibbs says on that fibros and silvertails documentary "stuff like that didn't worry us, may have worried them but doesn't worry us" lol.

Anyway, at least the Magpies live on in the WT (Even though we have to remind Balmain fans of this sometimes) as Balmain do so our history and investment isn't lost.

Part 2 comment- If Robbie and Doueihi support Madge then I'm with them.
Brooks thoughts on the matter, well meh.

This is nothing more than a kiss, kick, kiss article, with the purpose of giving it to Madge. Gutter journalism imo.
Chammas is right about the blue skies on the horizon though, and it’s perhaps for this reason he and people like Benji are cranking it up to get Madge fired before their window of opportunity closes.

We are the Cool Runnings of the NRL.. The Rorters are the Swiss.. Wests Tigers need to find their inner Jamacan

Yeah man, are you dead man?

Rise and shine!
It's butt-whippin' time!

The fact that a sponsor is handed the keys to the club after a couple of years shows what a schmozzle we are.

What are his business successes other than cashing in on the misfortune of others?

He's chairman and major sponsor of the club? he is entitled to his opinions, more so than any of us.

Every member and fan is entitled to an opinion. Most probably don't expect to be allowed to run the club in return for their support

Identity found by about 5:30PM this afternoon.

A joint venture of two absolutely woeful clubs, with predictably woeful on field results.
