I'm an atheist and while I lambast those who openly preach from the rooftops and don't allow those to come to their own conclusions (I was raised in the Catholic church an decided it wasn't my thing,) I have learned that religion does bring as much good out in people as it does bad in others.
If having a deity in your life enriches it further, and as long as you don't infringe on the rights of others (pushing religious doctrine into secular law e.g. resistance for gay marriage,) then go for it. Atheists on the whole are becoming much like religious zealots in the way that they push their agenda and it's something I wished would never happen (I will admit I used to be one of those.)
