View attachment 40863Tom Cruise is a Legend.
I'm gutted that one of the people who makes me laugh the most in my life from a kid until now has passed away.
Bill Oddie, the working class Northern English larrikin from the irreverent comedy trio THE GOODIES has passed away aged 85, leaving only Graeme Garden (82) the sole remaining Goodie.
Tim Brooke-Taylor, the third Goodie died from COVID in 2020.
Billy's antics actually caused the death of an avid fan, whose wife said he died laughing uncontrollably at the episode "Ecky Thump" where exaggerated flat capped Northerners practiced the martial art of "Ecky Thump"...where they attack their enemy with a black pudding. She wrote to the Goodies to thank them for bringing her late husband so much joy, and that she is at peace that he died watching his favourite comedy act.
Billy also wrote a songs for certain episodes, one in particular called "The Funky Gibbon" that made it to #4 on the UK charts.
Farewell Billy, hope you have them rolling in the aisles wherever your soul has travelled to.
Vale!

Nor the Coors.......lol
Those two episodes are legendary in our home. Even now, if you need to whack anything, you must yell "ECKY THUMP!". Pillow fights when our kids were little were epic! When hubby first saw it, he was only about 7, and mum-in-law cries laughing, telling us how he fell off the lounge, laughing so hard. And the Funky Gibbon is just gold.I'm gutted that one of the people who makes me laugh the most in my life from a kid until now has passed away.
