Think this year is bad wait till next year.

Thing is next year won't be better, we just haven't progressed this year to have solid platform to build on for next year. There are a lot of young guns in the comp who have come along and a matured under their coaches and senior players.

Can we say we have? We have fantastic young players sure but have they had the benefit of a year in the senior grade learning their trade as others have. No they have had their enthusiasm knocked out of them and leave the year with the spoon it seems. Add to that with the financial situation there's no chance of building the team around some great new comers, no leagues club, possibly no Leichhardt oval nor a coach that can handle these issues.

Next year will be worse I agree.

No but the NRL has offered big money incentives in the past for clubs to relocate and this is what worries me. Realistically how can the club run last or close to it for the next few years and hope to pick up again. Relocation may start to look attractive to some and the NRL would be happy to lose another team from Sydney.

Who is going to pay Chris what we are paying him, even if we chip in with some of the contract???
Anyway 2016 will be ugly, just not nearly enough hardened NRL standard players, lots of kids who will probably make the grade in a few years but without putting lots of hard heads around them this process is going to take time and the bottom line is these kids might not make the next step

And if they don't, we have NO plan b. And we will have a big hole where it always has been We've been looking for halves for 10 years?, and we will start all over again.
Hopefully these guys will improve, they showed a bit in attack against the Bronc's, but hardly enough to get excited too much about. But their defence( like most of the team, ) was ordinary at best again,
I agree next year will probably be ugly, but if they don't ( and we can't)buy some experienced centres and backrowers, it definetly will be
I'd feel better if we had a minder for Taylor , his b/s will have no positive effect on the team by next seasons so we need someone to control his crap coaching,
Maybe Harry can look at helping the club get someone to oversee the coaching set up, similar to what other clubs have done at times. I think money spent on a coach is exempt from the cap.
And he'l have some spare cash next year if he's not sponsoring.

It's been said before that it should be considered.
They wouldn't put a team in Perth or Central qld if they were a basket case, so the NRL would want to make sure that they had a fair team and a good Coach,
If it meant incentives with getting players, I think the NRL would have to Look at the assistance that the Afl uses, to get a team started properly( although it doesn't always work)
I'm aware of the emotional hurt of your team playing less games in Sydney. But would you rather see this walking shambles get any worst , or gone altogether, or would rather seeing them play less live games, and every second weekend on TV
As someone who would have only missed a game or two at home over a long period when I lived in Sydney , and was involved with Wests junior rep teams and the junior competition for about the last 10 years before I moved, I do know how some people would feel if the situation changed
But if the team was to still be Wests Tigers with the same jumpers, wouldn't that be better than the way things are going ???
I have no more knowledge than anyone else on the forum has , of what the possibilities are over the next few seasons, but I'd rather see the Tigers being sucessful on TV than see what looks to be the way we're heading .
Before this year I was always excited whenever WTs were to be on TV. And always got together with my kids to watch. Even as they grew up
Even they now say that the interest isn't there any more, not because we aren't winning ( they grew up following Western Suburbs) they are eternal optimists.
It's the rubbish football that they can't stand , like a lot of us.
I don't even know if we could relocate even if the club wanted to,
But it is worth considering

Don't believe that….its more like $700k backended deal...well done Humpty!

Don't know what we are all so worried about.

I just did a ladder predictor with our mob winning all their remaining games 30 - 0 - and standard tips for the other teams.

We came 6th.

Pfft. whingers.

Top 8 here we come.

And therein li the real problem a real arrogant grub of a CEO(Humphreys)making sure with all these backended deals that whoever took over was inheriting a complete and utter shipwreck. The guy is a complete and utter douchebag and he has followed a silmiliar path to his father who was sentenced to prison for the way he fraudulently handled the NSWRL when in charge and the way that he tried to get rid of Wests in the early 80's.

Here's hoping the team can get a few more wins on the board, before end of season, enough to finish 15th or better.
Not going to be all gloom and doom toward season 2016 just yet.
Wait until it comes around, you never know, something may benefit wests-tigers.

If we keep waiting for stuff, life will pass you by in an instant.

Just curious, when a team finishes last, do all the players and coaches have to do a nudie run ?

Very involved too in removing Newtown back in 1982/83\. Many CEO's will take huge risks (for want of a harsher word) knowing that they don't won't face ramifications as these they will have resigned from their CEO post (and most likely taken a promotion within another company) well before the ramifications hit the fan.

That may well be.

It was all overseen by the "Old Board" the buck also stops with them.
Humphries was at fault yes - but I don't think he signed all these back ended contracts without the "Boards" approval.

The same as the last two years Mayer had his mistakes sanctioned by the same "Board."

Blame Humphries and Mayer to a lesser extent but the "Board" has to take the ultimate responsibility.

Total bunch of incompetent Idiots.

Having read your comments goldcoast tiger and thinking about it more, I am more concerned that Wests Tigers could disappear and the licence given to a new franchise outside of Sydney. Having said that if Wests Tigers were relocated it would be difficult to accept as I enjoy going to live games as often as I can (although it is tough at the moment). I get your comments about eternal optimism I was also involved with Wests Junior reps when the Magpies moved to Campbelltown, can be a small world.

We moved to the Coast in 1980 when we were still playing still playing at Lidcombe oval.
And hadfriends still playing for the club, so I understand anyone s feelings about relocation, even though it was myself and family that was relocating in my case.
Let's hope it doesn't happen, but if it did. It's better to have your team still playing instead of being always financially strapped, as we have always been

There was a show on fox last week about Tommy Raudonikis and part of that showed the old days with Roy and the face slapping in the change room and Boyd getting a bit carried away funny to look back on.

All this crap has completely removed me of any enthusiasm I had left for this season.

I'll be lucky to watch another game this year with the turmoil that has permeated the club on and off the field. I never thought I'd be one to not care how we're going.

What a sad state of affairs.
