Does anyone truly believe Benji found out that he wasn’t going to be offered a contract in 2021 in the newspapers? Embarrassing!

Pascoe emailed some members this week saying "we tried our best to do it properly" etc etc with Benji's manager.

Indirectly = saying Benji's manager was the one who caused the media storm.

It was as plain as the big nose on my dial, but the rusted on Benji lovers keep blaming the club

Pearce was cut from the Roosters even after delivering them a premiership because the club is constantly looking forward and improving. You could argue what they did to him for a player in his prime was much worse than not re-signing a 36 yer old.

After back to back premierships (with a possible 3rd) do you think any of the Roosters fans even think about Pearce anymore?

Successful clubs take emotion out of it make tough decisions for the better of the club.

Actually I don’t think Pearce did deliver them a Premiership did he?

The only thing he has left is his pass. His speed and footwork is long gone.

So it's possibly likely that the club isn't treating him poorly, but rather trying to keep a lid on the real goings on in an effort to maintain his credibility. But who'd ever believe that crazy scenario right?

I agree, Benji was a once in a generation player with a highlights reel better than most, but that was back in 2005 to 2012, we are talking about 2021 now.
Since then his speed has gone, his step is nowhere near as good, and he hasn't developed any game managing skills or improved his defence to combat this, he still thinks it's 2010, his brain is writing cheques his body can't cash, he should have retired with Farah

What makes me sad about this, besides watching a once in a generation player potentially ruining his legacy, is this.. how many more premierships should we have won - at least another 2!!

I am not disrespecting him, I am pointing out he needs to finish up, he will be 36 next year but still thinks he is 26, everyone has to retire some day, some do it with style, others don't
