how would you feel if a guy 20 years older than you kept calling GNR as druggos and with soulless music?

Lol they were druggies. Its a miracle the two guys in my pic aren't dead

what if your kids started doing drugs coz their fav band did drugs?

no era is clean. no person is clean. generalisations like "kids these days have no talent", "kids these days are disrespectful" etc. are all a load of crap

If only more people thought the way you do prmz.

If my kids took drugs id be looking at myself before blaming a band. These kinds of things are the responsibilities of the parents to teach them about the affects of drugs.

What you're saying is reminiscent is when people wanted to blame Manson for Columbine

If your kids do drugs you should be looking at yourself as a parent before a musician

And ftr, i was a Guns fan from a very early age, and knew very early on that they were drug users, but i didn't get the urge to go out and wanna inject herion. People are responsible for their own actions when something is that serious, even if you are a kid.

Effectively what you're saying Prmz is that parents get off scott free here. If/when you have kids, take some responsibility for them and nurture them enough so they know right from wrong. If kids have a steady up-bringing, theres no reason why they won't stay clear from drugs if you educate them properly. Its one thing to blame it on kids falling in with the wrong crowd who can have a direct influence on them, its another to blame a musician who has none whatsoever. Its a cop out that weak, inept parents use,

Musicians get a ridiculous amount of blame for everything.

There were 3 teens in America who wrongly served 20 yrs in prison for the murder of 2 little kids, and the biggest piece of evidence the DA had against them was that they listened to Metallica

True story

Very well said GNR. Posts like that deserve rep points.
People don't seem to want to take responsibility anymore.

It was an embarrassment and shows how low the music industry has sunk in the last 15 yrs.

What's the difference between Miley Cyrus wearing this and Guns n Roses parading around like a bunch of drugged up pirates? Different generations have different styles. Get over it.

Its not just what she was wearing, it was the whole performance, down to the un-co dancing, Say what you want about GnR at least they had talent.

Search up "Miley Cyrus - Lilac Wine" or "Miley Cyrus - Jolene". She can sing - she may not have shown it in that vid, but she has talent.

She does, poor choice of phrase for me to say she didn't. Its the ''talent'' she was trying to portray that was off.

Its the equivalent of Lennon and McCartney trying to take on Eminem in a rap battle

Stick to what you are good at

two very different things. anyway, to close this arguement out- i'll just say. there are wierd people everywhere- moreso in celebrities. if we start giving attention to those who seek attention and label it as a failure of the industry they're in, then every industry would fall flat. by contributing to this thread, im probably giving her more attention. so good luck to her in the future- we'll all agree that she needs to keep her clothes on

Agreed. Also people seem to love being outraged by issues. I think it makes them think their opinions are relevant.

I loathe the mainstream entertainment machine that churns out these so called 'idols' at such tender ages.
Brittany Spears, Christina Aguiliera, Lindsay Lohan, Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus…even Michael Jackson. They are talented kids who are manipulated and reconstructed into money making factories and along the way they lose their real identites, their real passions and their perspectives.

They really add a new dimension to the saying 'sold my soul to the devil'. I think all entertainers do this to a degree but the teenage stars seem to be destroyed by it. We are seeing more and more meltdowns and weird behaviour from the entertainment industry.

As Dave Chapelle so famously stated..."maybe the environment is a little sick..."

Things just get better for Miley

One day she is slapping dwarves in Germany

Next day she is releasing a new song with herself riding a wrecking ball naked

Following day she waving to the crowd in Paris with no bra and we see some more flesh

Lindsay Lohan anyone

gee that music video is really asking for trouble. it just goes from bad to worse for her

Yep asking for trouble. 10 million views on youtube in 24hours.
Also read that 2 years ago she was worth 30million - today she is estimated worth 150million. Thats a whole lot of trouble….
Its marketing pure and simple. Do i like it (her) no.... Thankfully my daughter doesn't as well but lots do and the more she does the more people talk and view and buy and the $$ signs keep ticking over.

"My father told me 'Name your price in the beginning. If it ever gets more expensive than the price you name, get out of there.' " - Dave Chappelle

He understood the perils, but I guess he was much older when he started out then Miley..
