Gun player

Really??

I don't think he has shown anything so far. Has all the physical attributes but as we see time and again that's only handy if they know how to play to their strengths. Hope he kicks on but not confident about it happening. Murdoch-Masila 2.0

Think he'll be ready this year.

The problem with short comments like Tony's one... “He's A Gun’ can be either sarcastic or he really meant it. Tony is cool so I think he meant it.
I was going to post Thomas's junior highlight package where he utterly destroys the oppostion. Last year he had two or three runs that suggested he might be on the right track for success, time will tell.

I got rid of insta but was following him a few months ago and the bloke was ripping in as soon as last year season finished. Has been training hard and a big boy already, hopefully it all come together for him this year.

Call me a cynic but it’s contract year. And not necessarily Wests Tigers contract.

He’s a Queenslander and he’d Be you looking to come home. Also as the dolphins become more desperate to sign players his Stock will rise.

He seemingly hasn’t reached his potential at our club but I can’t help it feel he would be a weapon with subtle changes in his game - E.g. gap running and making sure he’s not good for a knock on per game.

Signed 1 year contract last year, say strategy is to play good this year and look for an upgrade

I think he's still in the top 4 props in the club

That's not really saying much though. We don't have much to choose from TBH.

Stefano, Musgrove, Twal, Joe, Tamou, Mikaele, Christian M. We actually seem to be probably strongest at prop that any other position.

That's what I was thinking at first but who would of thought api and the parra bloke would come to us next year

He could be a great prop partner to Stef but just seems to lack the smarts, as do quite a few of our guys. If he can just focus on the basics for around 40 mins of a game (in two stints) - run really hard, tackle really hard, hold the ball in two hands, no mistakes. I think if he could do that he’s worth another 2 years.

I get the Tony Williams' about this guy...contract year will play his guts out, and sign with the dolphins on bigger money than he deserves

Nah. Least Tony Williams had one or two years of being an unstoppable beast. Mikaele isn’t that type.

Musgrove has played what....a handful of games in the last few years? Joe is struggling, more of a 2nd rower than prop. Tamou is a mannequin for WT bathrobes on the sideline every week bar 15-20 minutes. Christian is an unknown quantity- might not even make 1st grade. We are hardly deep at prop IMO.

If he has a big year and uses this years form with us to get a Dolphins upgrade I can only wish him luck for the future.

Break a leg . . . . . . . . . . . . literally.

Contract year. He probably will be a gun for us this year and sign for the Dolphins - pretty standard for us

He could be a great prop, but just seems to lack the smarts. ... 🙁

If you don't have the smarts to be a Prop, You might struggle to be a Traffic controller... "green is Go.. Red is.... ??". Bryce Gibbs anyone?

That being said, we knew from Aaron Woods days that when he had a simple task and a simple game plan he did a lot better. That basic focus, that putting effort into the perfect tackle technique to explain:

A friend was cutting lawn with a bushknife. It is easy to tire out quickly doing this. But if you perfect the angle and perfect the timing you can cut your lawn in under 2 hours.

That perfect angle, perfect stroke... Meh give the guy a Bushknife and see if our defense is still soft!

I'm expecting big things from him this year
Stefano is sealed, Paps is coming, Api is coming.
Musgrove is injury free
It's a contract year with alot of clubs needing props over the next 2yrs.
We have Cayless to coach him (1st actual NRL/Rep experienced forward to do so)
He is also getting into the prime years for a prop as well.

If he can really break out this year and live up to his potential it would be huge for us.

Says it all doesn't it...what play good for one year, get an upgrade and then play mediocre for the remaining years. No thanks. Turn right out of Concord and hit the M4. SeeYa!!

We could use some of Bryce Gibbs 'smarts' in Defence...
