Thoughts on Elijah Taylor so far.

I think that Elijah Taylor has been one of our shinning lights in these dark days. He has surprised me with the way he has been playing. He is giving his all for the team and that is what i want i want to see from the players. How do you guys think he has played so far?
And what do you think he has added to the team?

Good, very good so far
Fills that void we were missing with a ball playing forward area

I say give him another contract or an extension

We should defiantly give him a contract for 2-3 years.

Im really concerned about guys with long term contracts
Seems to impact motivation in some cases with player intensity dropping off playing in the same team for an extended duration

Back on ET, doubt he is that sort of player but who knows

Funny that we get better results signing NSW Cup players than internationals. Blake Austin, Marty Taupau and Elijah Taylor have been some of our best players in recent years.

Martin taupau hadn't played any international Footy when we signed him (apart from 1 game for Samoa). Elijah Taylor hasn't played for NZ since 2013.

Always rated the guy so he's going about as well as I expected him to. Adds a lot to our team in both attack and defence.

Need to get him a on a longer contract for sure.

Weren't they both playing reserve grade when we picked them up?

Yeh Marty Taupau hadnt established himself yet and was stuck in reserve grade but ET was definitely first grade standard he was playing reserve grade cause his coach didn't rate him…. Thank you Anthony Griffin

I'm a massive fan of doing this. Pick the good reserve graders and then see how they go.

As for ET I think he has been great. To me he is a footy player in that technically he has a lot of good skills defensively and offensively. I think he is captaincy material and should be signed for another couple of years.

He can be a key contributor to our team. ET, Tedesco & Woods are 3 players who should slot into our squad for a number of years.

Wouldn't it be nice to say that about every player from 1-17…
