Not fussed on Taupau leaving, as much as i would love Farah to stay i just want all this crap to be over. Whether he leaves or stays i don't care anymore. Ballin/Cherrington would do the exact job as Farah/Cherrington.

If an NRL club buys Farah then they need to pay him a reasonable amount to count on their salary cay. That amount will come off our cap.

No club has this amount of money to spend for 2016\. So we will be paying the 2.1 million which will be deducted from the cap if he chooses to leave. This is another example of the genius of Taylor. Now when does Cleary arrive?

of course it frees up cap space, why else would they do it?

it basically works like this. If farah is on 1 million for 2016/17\. he MUST be paid 1 million a year. it doesn't matter from whom. If he is forced to leave and sign with say the dragons for 600k. We have to top up the last 400k, and that comes out of our salary cap.

Similarly, Ballin is owed 400k say, if we get him for 250k then manly have to top up 150k out of their cap.

Taupau asked for a release so we don't have to pay him anything.

i would be insulted if i was robbie farah ,regardless of a track history of not getting on with coaches.

Do you think Balin would sign a deal for two years to be third in line ?..I doubt it.My biggest gripe is we held all the aces,we had a player that another club wanted and we released a contracted player without really getting anything out of it,just like Austen and to a lesser extent Koro.
Our only hope now is we may have some cap space to grab a souths reject when they resign Big Sam, but I really can not see us in the market place for any quality players,it's not our go

I think Cherrington is his limited game time has shown he does every thing at speed and in my opinion the side looks very good attack wise when he is on the field.

Ballin for mine would be a long distance third behind Robbie and Cherrington and would be an absolute stupid signing considering he is over 30 and injured yet nothing our club does suprises me anymore.

Farah has been told he is no longer required by the club,unfortunately until the penny finally drops he is going to be around. There is only 2 not 3 Farahs footprint at the club has been removed I really do not see the reasoning behind the stubborn stance to stay somewhere your not wanted considering he has been told he will get his money. This is going to be a messy situation with Ayoub feeding the media .

So snake, if Cherrington goes down with a long time injury, do you really think that Ballin will be our hooker for 2016( or even our back up hooker.
