TICKETS SELLING FAST FOR CAMPBELLTOWN MATCH
28/04/2010 6:34:12 PM
Wests Tigers encourage supporters to pre-purchase their tickets early for the blockbuster clash against the Sydney Roosters at the redeveloped Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 2.

Tickets are selling fast for the game with the top deck of the western grandstand all but sold out. A very limited number of tickets remain available for supporters who wish to purchase the four game membership package for Campbelltown matches.

All corporate hospitality has been sold out for the match.

Wests Tigers players and members are looking forward to the return to Campbelltown Stadium following Campbelltown City Council's recently completed upgrade of the facility, funded by an $8 million grant from the Federal Government.

The stadium now provides seating for 13,500 spectators, boosting the stadium’s total capacity to more than 20,000.

The upgrades to the western grandstand include enhancements to amenities and media facilities, a new passenger lift and access stairwells, and refurbishment of the players’ change rooms and officials’ area.

The addition of a function room seating up to 80 people, suited to pre-game match activities or entertainment, and including enhanced catering facilities, also forms part of the completed works.

A new video scoreboard support structure at the northern end, new turnstiles, ticketing and support offices near the Leumeah Road entry, as well as additional exits, and a new entrance to the playing surface in the south west corner, have all added to the facility’s reputation for sporting excellence.

The re-developed stadium also features additional toilet facilities, air conditioning in existing corporate boxes, and the remodelling of the western entrance to allow easy access into the stadium during large matches.

Council’s contribution to further stadium upgrades include an allocation of up to $450,000 for the resurfacing of the adjoining athletics track, and a $1 million project in partnership with Wests League Club for a pedestrian bridge to connect the club with the parking area on the western side of Leumeah Railway Station, to be completed in early 2011.

Since the Western Suburbs Magpies moved to the Macarthur region in 1987, Campbelltown Stadium has transformed from a quaint suburban ground to a great boutique venue.

The improvements at Campbelltown Stadium will further strengthen the Wests Tigers commitment to Sydney’s south west, an area that will host four NRL Premiership matches this year compared to three last year

I got my General Admission Membership. I wonder if I will be able to do some kind of upgrade when I get to the stadium so I can sit in the Western Stand.

There are details of how to do that on the clubs website Alien. A upgrade box office inside

Get there early though

Will find it.

There is only silver concourse available and kids with junior league passes can only be guaranteed entry prior to 12:45

All Bronze Members wanting to upgrade their seats from Bronze General Admission to Silver Reserved seating can do so once they have entered the ground through Gate A and can then proceed to the ‘Eastern Stand Upgrade’ window at the back of the Ticket Box Office

My bad it is only upgrading to the Eastern Stand

Previous artivles had both listed but obviously demand is high for the Western stand.

Still worth checking if you are a member and get there early

 I only went on there to use the Dream Team portal and had a look see

I think the grandstand The HODGO STAND is sold out already…

The Skando Hill will no doubt be packed ....

Tommy's terraces will look great filled with a sea of Black White and Gold as well....

:sign: :wahoo:

The Western Stand is now sold out for the whole season. The stand is full of Members and no tickets will be sold there for any games. There is now reserved Gold seating next to the tunnel on the concourse level.
