Tied for 2nd in Rd 22 and we CAN still miss the 8

I like most on here, couldn't believe what I witnessed last Saturday night at ANZ with 30 minutes left , up 28-12 and thinking c’mon guys, time now to put another 20 points on the Bunnies and start building up confidence for the run home to the finals.
Then Souths scored in the 53rd minute, and I felt like I was watching a season train wreck in slow motion from that point on. The last try by Farrell in the 91st minute was surreal, and it worries me that after Rd 26 is up , it might just sum up how our team might be pipped out of the 8 on for and against.

The Panthers game was going to be hard enough to win, but with Lawo, McKinnon and Big Red most probably being out of this match, losing up less than 12 points, will be a good effort….then with Parra winning last night, next week's game at Parramatta Stadium with a packed crowd , hoping and wishing on a Eels win, will be even harder.

Our finals hopes rest on a win against Melbourne @ Leichhardt or even more challenging a win against an inform Titans @ Skilled Park.... :brick: ....Even normally optimistic Alad is VERY worried.

C’mon Wests Tigers, ease our anguish and worries and beat those Panthers this week for a friggin Change

That loss to Souths,is now more damaging than it was on on saturday night,we could have cemented a top 4 win by beating Souths and Penrith, now we are under the pump, time to stand up I hope.

Lets be positive guys .. Tough assignment tomorrow and already talking about missing the 8 is going to add to sleepless night .. I was hoping at least parra get a few injuries but they got out of last nights game easy..

30 will get us in.

If we go from "home and hosed", 14 up v a depleted Souths…...............lose than game.......and lose our next four games and miss out................we dead set should be named the "Wests Jana Novotnas" from next season onwards. It will be the biggest collapse since she ckoked at wimbledon. Can we do it? IMO the Penrith game IS our season.

Win this and we are home. Lose and we'll get smashed by Parra next week and really be in freefall mode.

If we don't beat Penrith and Parra, then we don't deserve to be in the Finals, simple as that.

Penrith are equal with us and Parra are behind us…...if we can't beat them, then enough said.

We have it in our own hands as to where we finish.

Bravo Alad - you said it exactly how it is, we have to start beating the better teams or we can't expect to advance to the top 8, we do have a pretty tough few weeks to make it, lets hope it begins this weekend against the Panthers.

Under strength team and been in poor form all season, you would be dreaming if you thought we had a serious chance on Sunday. We would have to pull some form from nowhere to have any chance. My guess is our for and against is going to take another hit

I will be cheering and willing the players on tomorrow and the next three weeks. But if we miss out we know that there have been games this year we should have won but didn't. I think if one of the three players who fell off Wesser last Saturday in the last 5 seconds had made that tackle we would have 29 points and probably be safe. The odd competition point would have taken our for and against out of play.

I'm nervous about tomorrow. I'm starting to think we may have some sort of psychological issue about making the 8\. rounds 22-26 have not been kind to us (06 - 3 losses, 1 win; 07 - 3 losses, 1 win; 08 - 3 losses, 1 win; 09- 2 wins, 2 losses).
But, if we can somehow scrape a win and cement a top 8 spot, I'm hopeful we can turn a corner and start to improve. 😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray:
