We still sleeping on momirovski?

Can find the line. And looks to be one of the only players in our side with any sort of pace (from last years squad anyway).

Dudes beating 4-5 guys to find the line in a majority of those tries. Scores a double in his debut in the finals for the roosters. Missed the sitter of a kick against the dogs but didn't kick stones and lose all confidence like Marsters, which I thought showed just how mentally tough and mature the bloke is. Kids a weapon.

The dude is beating 2-3 guys AT the line to score but in ever try someone has put him in space or beaten his opposite with a pass. Mono doesn’t beat one player in general play in that whole highlight reel. It’s a decent reel for a winger. That’s what he looks like there.

For mine a good first grade centre beats his Man in general play with pace or power. I’ve never seen him do that. He is worth a centre spot in first grade but he is our Shane Elford. Struck match between him and Mbye at centre for mine.

"Doesn't beat one player" - you need to go to spec savers.

The love for Momo is so confusing. Lacks genuine pace to ever be more then a good finisher. Would you pass him the ball if you needed someone to break the line or win you a game?? I think the answer to that question is why we are happy to swap him to the storm.

We’re not swapping him cos we don’t want him. We need a hooker and have sufficiant depth in the centres. The club will extend him for 2021.

I watched the Storm v Cowboys game and Harry was brilliant.

Silky passing game that constantly challenged the line. His support play for their third try was excellent and that incredible stabbing grubber for their fourth try was on-point.

I'm a big fan of Harry, but that's where it ends.

Our chances of winning the comp in 2020 are slim, so if we get Grant all we're doing is providing him with a first grade nursery to improve his skills. He'll go back to the Storm in 2021 with that experience under his belt and it will probably bite us in the arse in the future.

Momo on the other hand is a high IQ, high ceiling centre that knows how to find the line. He's also a decent kicker, currently @75% but I'm sure with full time kicking duties in 2020 he'll improve.

I love the idea of Harry coming to us, but only if (and somehow) he breaks his contract and signs with us.

Not a fan of the swap.

Business is business.

Every season is important.

All we can do is the best we can do for our fans this season. Then worry about 2021.

Wake up fellas, the big picture is that even if Harry comes in 2020 he'll leave us in 2021. Why would we want to help his progress if he's not signed to WT?

Making the eight in 2020, sure, but he's not a long term prospect unless he signs.

All valid. Maybe Grant kills it, loves his time here, sees we are on the way up goes back to Melbourne and sees out his contract before signing with us long term. A lot of things to play out. I really think there is nothing better than a dummy half that brings his forwards onto the ball to get his team rolling forward. Just have to trust the men in charge on this I suppose

But to answer you question, we just signed BJ, and Mbye is our captain. Maybe Madge thinks a year in the Storm system could take Momo to the next level. There are positive reasons why the club would want to send him there, hence why they want to re-sign him. If he was of no value, they’d tell him he’s free to sign with the Storm beyond 2020.

I think people are downplaying just how important it is to make finals this year. Not only will it be good short term, but long term it will improve our memberships, our team morale/belief, our players will get finals experience and most importantly it will attract big name players to want to join us.

Sure we might only have him a year but this year is one of the most important ever in the clubs history, and he gives us a massive boost and bigger chance of making finals.

Giving a kid one years development (that he would see eventually anyway) is a good trade for all the benefits we could get.

I really like how Madge has constructed our pack and backline so far.

9 is the question, but I'm into Walters. There's a lot of Momo haters, so hopefully he takes Mybe's spot in Round 1 to prove his value.

Tigers aren't. He's signed for a number of years after this.

When did that happen...?

Plantbasewhooper

Aka smoking gun ????

More like smoking spud ...

Bottom line is that the coach wants Grant here as WT are deficient in the nine until mid year at the best. As such, I am all for it, even though I would be happy enough with Momirovski at left centre.

I’m a fan of it it’s a win win for both clubs we desperately need to make the 8 in 2020 to show every 1 we are no longer a joke and and I think harry is going to help us get there so why not give it ago we have plenty of centres to cover momo

We don't have a solid goal kicker.

I like what Walters has shown @9 so far, and I think we'll make the eight as he settles into first grade.

Kicking will be the difference.

Momo for me.

I see it like this, even if AD or Benji was to strike them at <10% than Momo, Harry Grant will create more try scoring opportunities than a Walters/Mybe/Reynolds rotation

Exactly, nothing more then a depth player. Glad we agree.

Well, no. You implied the club doesn’t want him, which is wrong.

I said we are happy to swap him, and you agreed we have enough depth in our centres that we can do without him. So are you implying what I’m implying?

But he’s not a depth player. He finished the season last year as the top try scorer. And if the club saw him as a depth player, they wouldn’t be looking to extend him

So why are they swapping him if he is our number 1 centre?

But to answer you question, we just signed BJ, and Mbye is our captain. Maybe Madge thinks a year in the Storm system could take Momo to the next level. There are positive reasons why the club would want to send him there, hence why they want to re-sign him. If he was of no value, they’d release of his current contract.

I don't agree.

The numbers show we would have made the eight if we kicked better.

How did the Storm suddenly get this under the salary cap, if it's going to move forward? Everything was already in place last time, except Storm's account-keeping.

Apparently since it’s past March 1st it gives them more wiggle room? Maybe more of Momirovskis contract has been paid by us or maybe Storm have a way to free up cash. They were just barely over
