Tigers and Storm Player Loan Swap

Yes Momo must be re-signed. I doubt he'd be happy about getting shipped down there. He needs to be treated well.

Who would be disappointed about going to Melb? It's a great opportunity for him.

It is, but I'm in two minds about this swap.

Momo showed excellent IQ and got over the line 8 times last year, a couple of which were brilliant tries.

If he continues to grow and enjoys his time at the Storm will he want to come back to us even if we resign him?

The reality is that Bellyache is a great coach, a whisperer and he's highly influential.

Harry's highlights look great, but unproven in first grade.

Overall I'm not a fan of this deal, I was excited to see Momo going to the next level in 2020 with us.

Liddle won't play nrl this season. Guaranteed. Still several months away from even returning to training, then he needs fitness and confidence in his body. They'll take him very slowly and tryuand build him back up towards 2021

I dont doubt that at all. Its what should be done. But i thought he was penciled in for around round7?

No he's not expected to be back in full training until halfway through the season. It's a 12 month recovery period for his injury

Smart move since Jacob Liddle's about as physically durable as Mr Burns from the Simpsons.

What a disgraceful comment. I assume you are an Adonis?

Lighten up, he's not far off 🙂

He's only just settled in to the Tigers, now he's got to settle in with a whole new team in a different state. Three teams in three years.

Don't get me wrong, the swap can work for both teams. I'm just saying look after him and re-sign him.

Is Simpkins available after round 16?

If so and Liddle holds up come Round 7 onwards what chance the swap deal is reversed at that point in the season?

Dude, Liddle will be lucky to even play a game of Rugby League this year, let alone NRL.

Don't know about round 7, but he is back out training on the grass this week per the club.

He wouldn't be a certain starter here IMO. I don't think he'd be too upset.

Unfortunately I think that is because they need to find a position for Mbye. If not for his salary and the decision to appoint him captain , he would be lucky to be a bench utility.

This might be a massive longshot, but I would try and re-sign Momo before he goes, and I'd be prepared to pay a little bit over his value (unproven to date IMO). This is a long shot but it is possible that at the end of the year he wants to stay in Melbourne, Melbourne may want him to stay....and they happen to have a valuable outside back still under contract for next year we may be able to swap.

That's probably right with us getting the new hooker.

You would have to think Momirovski's best outcome is to secure a position at the Storm. Maguire is looking after his future by providing the opportunity with his mentor. I want him to succeed at the Storm and win a long term contract.

Funny sport. Koroibete, JAC and now Momo can't be guaranteed a spot at WT so head to one of the most successful clubs....

The big difference this time is we are getting something out of it. We have shown we are serious this off-season, so let's make sure we re-sign him first

Pascoe just mentioned on the interview video on the website that they're working to extend Momo now as part of this swap deal.
