I feel like the only thing stopping the usual “woah is us, the NRL hates us” is that this is also affecting the Storm, one of the clubs the NRL loves and turns a blind eye to. More mixed emotions than watching your mother in law drive off the side of a cliff in your new car.

I don't feel the woah is us, I think it's more a case of the NRL is too incompetent to sort this out. They are not even communicating with the public what the hold up is, which makes them look even more useless.

Latest report is its not NRL its Melbourne. They were the incompetent ones and couldn't add up the cap properly and apparently will be 15k over if the deal went ahead - NRL rules won't allow that.

Doesnt sound like Melbourne not being able to add up the books..............guess it depends which set they are trying to add up.

Do u extend momo and do a lawerence dropping this year's salary 15k then bumping his next two that amount?

Could just being the storm dragging this out. Every week we pay momo the less room they need in their cap.
Bellamy might rate madges preseason. He is only 1 player to be missing from the squad after all

I liked what i seen from young grant in the 9s. I also thought momo was good. Im a big momo fan and hope we secure him long term, but after seeing grant i do believe he would make a huge difference to our team. That said walters also impressed and could be an option at 9

The Storm would be in no rush...they can easily slot a center like Momo into their system.

Us, on the other hand, need to get this done ASAP or walk away. A young, inexperienced, hooker will need a lot of training sessions to learn the plays / structures of a new team. Ideally, he should have been given an entire off season.

Exactly!
Getting to cut and run stage. We need a month with this bloke in at 9 to get combos and timings smooth and fast.

I like Liddle but there do seem to be real issues regarding his durability. Hope he comes good and realises his potential but if he cops another serious injury, hard to see him having a WT future beyond 2020

I don't get how people question his durability. I mean, ok, his shoulders may be an issue, but we can hardly suggest that the knee injury could have been helped. That was sheer bad luck. The same would have happened to anyone at that moment. Let's see how things go when he returns. There's every chance he can recover well and kill it. If not, decisions will be made. He'd know that, there's plenty of motivation to be 100% right before returning.

The problem is that the biggest predictor of future ACL injuries is previous ACL injuries. Some players come back fine (Tedesco) but others have major issues with recurrence. Liddle may have been unlucky but that bad luck doesn't just disappear with recovery.

Some players attract criticism because of their build or durability especially at WTs. Papenhuyzen apparently was too slight and injury prone at WTn yet he is one tough little player. Moses also received criticism so we traded him for a injury prone player from another club in the twilight of his career. Liddle is a fine player and hopefully has more luck with injury when he returns.

Some people tend to forget we had up and coming super STAR who took three years to get his body right then did he go off with a bang one B Marshall
Liddle needs a little more time then watch him go kids got ability determination all he needs now is some good luck.

He's a good player with plenty of ability, i guess you could compare him to Benji in an injury capacity but Benji was a rare talent which is why we stuck by him. He also won a comp and was winning games almost single handedly in his first real full season ,i will never forget the game we thrashed the sharks on thier own patch. If liddle doesnt step up to the plate next season as this one is basically a write off id let him go especially if they rate Simpkin higher. Maybe he needs a change of scenery some players thrive when they move on look at Tapau he was basically a reserve came to us and went on big time happens often Liddle could be in that boat.

Exactly, he debuted on I think June 14 2016, it is now 2020 and he has 38 NRL games, and he is unlikely to add many more to that this year.

You would think that if this swap is being held up because the Storm will be $15K over the cap surly they could clip that amount from one of Cam’s contract with out much problem.

Cam is a selfish brat.
He won't agree to that.

People tend to forget lots of things......like Moltzen, T. What makes you think Liddle will follow the Benji path and not the Moltzen?

That is some the worst made up rubbish to meet your own narrative.

Papenhuyzen left because Teddy was still here. His build had zero to do with it. He went to school with my son so I’ve always watch his development. There was very little talk of him here prior to his debut.

Moses was offered $900k to stay insane money. He wasn’t “traded”. He was wanted, he is just a tool.

You're correct but everyone is writing Liddle off
this I would say will be his last shot which will be terrible for the kid

I agree that it’s probably his last shot. Again like Moltzen it’s been a long time since his debut with not much to show for it.

I think most if not all Tigers fans hope he makes it and reaches his potential.

Between Robbie Farah and injury, it’s been all but impossible for him to get a decent crack at some consistent time in first grade. Agree this year and next would be his last shot but let’s wait until then because he looks to be a very good player and fingers crossed can stay injury free after this one.
