Tigers and Storm Player Loan Swap

Thinking about walters it was really a solid performance considering club and position debut and first time he has played 80mins in demanding position. I didnt notice him at all at dummy half and defence was outstanding. Gotta be good upside there.

If the comp gets suspended do we still need Grant? We may end up missing 4-6 weeks which would mean Liddle would be close to a return.

Here's how it will go down.
* Paul Momiroviski and Harry Grant are both released from their current contracts.
* Momirovski signs with Melbourne for 2020 and Grant signs with Wests Tigers for 2020.
* Wests Tigers pay some of Momirovski's contract so Melbourne don't exceed the salary cap.
* Harry Grant is signed to the the same value contract he is on now.
* Wests Tigers bill Melbourne with some "miscellaneous expense" to account for the extra we spent to get the deal through.
* At the same time the 2020 contracts are signed, Momirovski signs with the Wests Tigers for 2021 and Grant signs with the Melbourne Storm for 2021.

And just like that, the deal is done. The NRL may as well have signed off on the deal, as it was always going to get done one way or another. All we're doing is wasting time jumping through loopholes.

It will take a season for the NRL to work that one out

And if C Smith plus on n 2021 grant has a clause in his contract to be able to Explore options at another club

So we could possibly have grant in 2021 too

Liddle will most likely not be playing this year. He’s said that the physios have told him he won’t play until next year but he is ahead of schedule.

An early return for Liddle would be in July. Even that's pushing it. That's a lot longer than 4-6 weeks. He won't be available this season.

does the nrl even realise, how big a step forward the game will take if they do get through this...........

Your delusional, Greenturd is too concerned about saving his own arse, to be forward thinking.

Not really. If we missed 6 weeks after round 3 that takes us in to early May. So we would be signing a hooker to cover for 4 weeks.

If they are saying he won’t be back this year at all it’s a different story.

I liked the look of walters. Apart from a few errors he made truck loads of tackles and looked lively on the ball. I really liked what he offers.

He impressed me, he's all footballer, if the Tigers are smart they'll lock him up on a long contract, can only see good things in the future.

I don't understand the gushing around Walters for at best an average game, but hey, if you guys are happy with that level of nine, then who am I to argue.

Locking players up to long contracts especially after a handful of games is the fast way to the bottom. Thankfully Maguire seems to have a pretty good handle on things. As for Walters, at present he is a solid fill in, nothing less or nothing more

He was good, but this is an example of how easily it is to get carried away after a win.

I think the best way to measure where Billy Walters sit in regards to the other 15 hookers in the NRL

Melbourne Smith /Smith
Dogs JMK
Cows Granville
Dragons McInnes
Penrith Koraisau
Broncos Turpin /McCullough
Souths Cook
Warriors Tevaga
Raiders Hodgson
Roosters Friend
Manly Fainu
Sharks Brailey
Knights Brailey
Titans Rein / Peats
Mahoney Eels
Tigers Walters

Based on those best options where does Walters sit ..at some clubs he would be 3rd or 4th best option

Brooks or Benji wouldn't have got the ball that early last year.

He was a far better defender ...Walters got pushed off regularly on Sunday

Farah was always one of our weakest tacklers. Whether or not Walters can keep it up is my only concern.
