I love how everyone on here whinges about leaks from the club when it's bad news, but can't wait for the pom or someone else to give us all the inside info lol.

I still don't buy that Benji had no idea until reading it in the paper.

I would be shocked if this wasn't talked about with him and Rowdy when they signed on again last year, and again recently (I think the same conversation was had with both Benji and Rowdy prior to rowdys retirement announcement).

Benji will still get his big send off from the club, highlights package and lap of honour. He deserves it. But he has not in any way been shafted by the club.

You could tell he was hurting but didn't dump on the club despite being given every opportunity to. Said he found out through the paper yesterday, someone should have spoken to him before that story.

It’s concerning that there’s a leak at the club and it’s seemingly high up. All season not much has come out of the club but two sensitive pieces of information has hit the media in the last two days. They need to find who’s doing it and boot them

saw the news on 7 they had Noffa and garlic sauce on one said it was blown out of proportion the other said it was a concern it was leaked out. But Josh went onto say theres no rift between the players and the coach, as one of the players thats actually played btter under madge that may be the case for Josh but i didnt convince me about the rest.

It just wouldn’t be right for Benji to finish his career at another club, especially after already having such a big homecoming a few years ago. At 35 I honestly don’t know why he can’t just retire gracefully with the club he loves most. He has a great career in the media ahead of him, so many options really, I just don’t get the need to press on playing NRL when his best days are clearly behind him.

I'm 42 and every weekend wish I could still play, he loves the game.

Yeah I know, but there really is a time to know when to fold them before you go that one too many seasons and end up playing like Anasta!

I would take a year playing busted if the body was up to it. I miss playing all the time.

Madge, rightfully expects his senior players to be behind him with the cultural changes he is trying to instil, yet to the contrary some of the senior guys are causing the instability.

Yeah, seems some people think with their heart too much and not their head.

I love what Benji has done for our club, I said it earlier. He made us relevant and everyone's 2nd favorite team.

But just because Benji decides he wants another season, does not mean he automatically gets another contract.

His contract will expire and the club has dutifully informed he and his management, that a new contract will not be offered.

The club has not tried to sack him or threaten reserve grade if he doesn't move on.

And the media know if the spin any "tigers in turmoil" headlines, it will get views.

Just look at all us time wasters on this forum lol!!

True. It is only a poor reflection on the club if it was a deliberate move from management. Wherever the leak came from it needs to be plugged. Sack the offender.
Still the two points are all that count. The club has made it's decision. Whatever marshall wants to do from there, that's on him.

Hard to let them go when nobody wants them.

I know it won't happen and can't happen if contracted
But every team can now only have 28 players signed
So we need to release 2 players
I choose Packer and Reynolds

I am sure 100% the club would agree, unfortunately there is a thing called reality.
They have a contract so unless someone is willing to stump the cash to get them not much the club can do.
