We need to have the right goals. We shouldn't set goals to get to a certain level on the table. We should set individual performance targets that are within the players control. The club needs to ensure we have the best recruitment and retention in the business. I'd have a goal of having our best performers being our most highly paid players. We can't compete with the Rorters of the comp on big dollar/big name recruits so we shouldn't try.

Anyone else see the blue wiggle on Twitter laying the boot in about how the club handled the situation by issuing a press release? What a moron. As if the club didn’t consult Marshall beforehand and asked him if he was retiring. Then there could have been an an announcement like there was for Lawrence. But he obviously wants to go around again for someone else, so what is the club supposed to do? This is on Benji, he could have just announced his retirement, had pics taken with his family, and I think even his most harshest critics would soften and be glad to wish him well. It’s going to be sad if he tries to hold out for another club and there’s no interest. Then has to retire, and it won’t be the way his retirement should have played out. Its making me angry the more I think about it. And the hide of the blue wiggle. Get a clue.

Mate I have been sticking up for the club the last 2 days on social media and have had enough.. People who have no idea what is going on need to stop making comments or putting the club down.. Most common one is the Club should of kept Benji and got rid of Reynolds, Packer or Mbye 1st .... **Contract's people Contracts**.... It's even coming for so call experts in the footy know..
Poor Club cannot win either way... Let's see if there are any apologies when Madge turns the club around once these pretenders are moved on...

Winning is not anywhere near as important as having the desire to win. If you throw away your desire then you’ve lost something of real value.

If my team was travelling well atm I would have to be frustrated at the focus on this instead of thecgoodxstuff happening on the field- but that's what the media feed off.

Everyone who feels passionate about the club - including former greats of Wests and Balmain - expects loyalty to be rewarded, it's not that big a deal. We're forever banging on about our own expectations with the team and why we're yet to see them make a finals series. So it's sort of the same in some ways I guess.
Plus it's an emotional time for the club now and we're all entitled to our own feelings.

My own dread comes with the uncertainty of what lies after any changes, because of past mistakes. But in saying that it feels different this time around and there's a feeling that we've finally moved on from our only go to method, of offering bandaid solutions rather than fix all foundational problems. Which I believe has always been our biggest issue and why the club has never truly recovered..... it's literally like ripping a bandaid off when each separate matter is dealt with accordingly and hence why there's pain for some I guess.

Yeah, I wish I had a platform to push my opinion like he does. Every single person on here would do the same if they had the opportunity. That is the same reason people post their opinions on here, his forum and platform is just larger as a former player.
