Greetings all.
..am I the only one who thinks there is too much of a 'Mates' culture at the Tigers. Meaning that some of the guys at the club seem to be happier playing and mucking around with their buddies rather than doing their job as professionals for the Club??? A bit like the spice boys at Liverpool FC. Not to the same level as them, but I get the same vibe. If you don't know what im on about you should definatley have a read on Wikipeidia.
I get the feeling that Sheens is trying to break that up a bit. I'm actually a bit over Beau Ryan. Average footballer at first, got given a lot of chances at the tigers and developed into a competent first grader. In playing terms he wasn't that much different to Mitch Brown or Fitzy 2005\. Ok he has a sense of humour and a weekly spot on the Footy Show, But his profile simply doesn't match his playing ability. I could get nasty and rant for a bit but you get my drift right?
I can't help but feel like a lot of our established first graders have gone soft a bit soft, lost a lot of focus. Maybe we need a Roy Keane in the room, and by that I mean the kind of guy who will take things a bit more seriously and give someone a clip round the ears when they are of the boil. All eyes on Robbie Farah i guess…
I'm no expert on footy, but after watching how well we played against the bulldogs late in the season, and how often we'd just not show up at other games, or switch off... whatever you want to call it, I just can't help but think that the issues are cultural and not anything to do with who is playing where. I wish i could articulate my point a bit better, but its just the impression i get.
