What is the tigers future? We currently have 3 main home grounds, we cannot seem to get 10000 people to our home games. What do we do from here. We need to base ourselves out of one home ground. You look at a parramatta or Penrith who average around 20000 per home game and have the highest membership ratings in Sydney. The tigers have one of the largest parts of Sydney in the south west and yet we play 3 games a year there. Who do we stand for where are we from. The club needs a restructure from the business side of the things. We have all the tools nescerary to be a powerhouse club (except for a good footy team) and yet we hardly get any crowds, sponsorship dollars or marquee players. How do we fix this

Parramatta have the largest fan base in Sydney and are a top 4 team - it wasn’t that long ago they were struggling for crowds aswell

The simple answer is; win football games and the crowds will come... look at any of our crowd averages from 2005, 2009-2011 and it proves that the fans are there.
Sorry that only answers one part of your topic, the home ground issue is a whole different kettle of fish 😂

Neither Penrith or Parra average around 20000, Penrith's membership is around the same as ours, Parra has great membership numbers. Our sponsorship and corporate support is strong and we make a profit.

There are areas that really need addressing but are more on the football side of the business.

Winning changes everything.

Ugh these posts make me roll my eyes...

Die hard Wests Tigers fans will go to the game rain, hail or shine.

While the part time supporter will pay more attention when we’re winning and in the top 8.

Like I say to everyone I know, when Wests Tigers get into the 8 and are in the finals.. watch the supporter base come out and grow tenfold again.

Cochise makes a fair point. Sorry don’t know how to reply. However I understand that our membership is sitting at around 20000 so it confuses me why that at what would be one of our more premier home games on a Friday night could only fetch nine. There are also people who just buy traditional tickets so it’s just a bit baffling to me. Same with Campbelltown against titans and roosters.

Those membership numbers can have interstate members aswell
Doesn’t necessarily translate to crowds...what you would want to look for is ticketed members

I don’t live in Sydney, but I try to attend as many games as I can...a lot of people in the same boat probably.

It’s ludicrous that we took a game against the dragon’s at Parramatta stadium..

10 seasons without finals is really hurting us and the form this year has left a lot to be desired. Who wants to travel to Bankwest on a cold Friday night for some of the rubbish we have been dishing up. I had to attend the game by myself because I couldn't find anyone to use my spare tickets.

Once the COE is complete and we somehow get the old SFS as a home ground ( as is rumoured) we will see that if the team become highly competative which is really only around the corner, our crowds will balloon...we just need a home ground identity, not several, sponsorship keeps climbing and our financial status is pretty good...we just need to keep positive that things are getting better for the WTs as the rebuild and year progresses...

Yeah, probably. I wonder how much time they waste deciding who to play where. Who they are gonna upset.
