Tigers join race for SBW

With Gareth Ellis heading back to England, the Wests Tigers have made an approach to Sonny Bill Williams. SBW's agent, Khoder Nasser, was approached by Tigers football manager Warren McDonnell. It's unclear if the talks will go further - Williams is widely tipped to be keen to join the Roosters but no deal has been done. I was told Benji Marshall was keen for his club to chase his good mate Williams. "Of course we'd like Sonny, which club wouldn't," he said. "But that is not my department - that's up to the club. I'm not the one pushing that line."

See in todays RLW that SBW will only come back to the NRL if he becomes the highest player in the game

Three clubs supposedly in the running Tigers ,Roosters and Doggies

Khoder Nasser can't be involved in negotiations as he is not an accredited agent but he only supposedly wants a one year deal for 800 k and wants to continue to box in the off season

With all that added up the NRL itself should tell him to go and jump

If $BW wants to be the highest paid NRL player he can go jump. He is nothing but a show pony, returning to the NRL just to stick it to the NRL and all rugby league followers. As others have said put the money on the table for cronck or at least someone with morals.
If they think there is an outcry for Mason wait until $BW is about to be signed.

He bailed on his team the 1st year in his career they were struggling. MID SEASON. that's worse than Masons rap sheet. So no Tigers fan should want our club speaking to him.

He is a great player, but you don't spend that absurd amount of money on a backrower. That kind of $$$ should be reserved for your spine players: halves, fullback or hooker.

I'll never get why you all hate khoder Nasser..none of you know him you all judge by the negative light that's always shone on him by the media..sbw on the other hand I can understand everyone's likes and dislikes about him..a good player I think but worth $800000, I think not..

AS mentioned in Previous threads that $BW's manger Khoder Nasser isn't an accredited NRL player manager but has apparently broken bread with Gallop at a cordial morning coffee.
I hope it was free trade coffee that they drank & then shared in a smoke from the old water pipe tobacco thingy.

For that sort of cabbage, we could pay DCE overs and get 80 minutes for 26 rounds out of him.

I'd rather fritter away $2.4m over three years on a 22 year old playmaker who is going from strength to strength over a douchebag who pissed on his teammates and the game to chase some bucks overseas.

He's a fine fit for the Roosters, let him go there and I hope our first game against them Woods shatters his ribcage.
