Tigers move to lock up forwards

It would be great if we can hang onto both of them. Bodene has been a big improver this year and Ava always bends the line in attack.

Let Ava walk, keep Bodene.

8\. Aaron Woods
9\. Robbie Farah
10\. Adam Blair
11\. Sitakeli Akoula
12\. Bodene Thomson
13\. Curtis Sironen

14\. Matt Lodge
15\. Martin Taupau
16\. James Gavet
17\. Jesse Sue
18, Nathan Brown

Nuts not to go with that.

:crazy to play Sironen tight as a lock when you can play him wider and get much more effective metres from him in dangerous positions for the opposition defence in their red zone

Blair plays better at lock than prop. I know Galloway hasn't been the same this year, but I'd still start him. As Taupou plays better coming of the bench.
With everyone fit, my pack for the remainder of 2014 would be…
Front Row: Woods / Farah /Galloway
2nd Row: Siro / Thompson
Blair at lock.
Bench: Taupou, Gavet, Ava, Patterson
18/19 man: Sue and Halatau

sue hasnt yet fired returning from injury. i rate him higher than siro, taupau and bodene. when he strings a few together, i reckon he'll be unstoppable. he has amazing leg drive, hits hard in defense (but misses a few) and is the perfect balance between agressive and niggly.

woods, ava, siro, bodene and blair starting. taupau, sue, gavet, gal/halatau.

Really? I thought Sue was our best against Souths. I'm sure we'll see him back at his consistent best in no time

By this time next year Santi will be very close to forcing his way into the to grade,IMO he will be Fultons replacement,if of course Fulton hangs up his boots

I like that on paper….
However I'd keep Blair @ 13

I would keep both of them especially if Fulton hangs up his boots.

I would like Ava to start at prop and Galloway back to the bench.

Thompson has to be one of the most improved players this year.

I think Potter has built up a wining culture and bit of a "Bros club" so I think both will stay.

We might lose Brown to another team.

Santi will push for a spot next year.

We need to buy a decent centre and ask Lawrence to move on

Mayer to Lawrence: “ Can I see you in my office for a chat”
Lawrence reply: “sure thing boss”
Mayer to Lawrence: “ I’d like to ask you to move onto another club”
Lawrence reply: I remind you I am contracted to the WT until 2016, I’m a local Junior, I love this club, I feel my form has improved the last 12 months, I don’t intend going anywhere, pay me out my next 2 years in full and I may consider”

Is this what we want?…Folks Lawrence is a WT for the next 2.5 years…accept this and move on…the only change I foresee during this period is possibly a move to the backrow

Same goes with the Anasta bashing. Neither man is going anywhere till their contracts expire. People are giving themselves ulcers complaining about things they can't and will not change, no matter how much they vent or write letters to the coach and CEO.

Yeah it's not like we went Fulton to the UK at any part of his career, or moved on players who were under contract to another club like the Sharks, or dropped a player due to poor form. Seriously do you guys really believe that nothing can ever change in the world of players contracts!!?

Depends on the circumstances. Alexaki's hypothetical regarding Lawrence is an example. Accept it, the club obviously don't have issues with him. The only reason Fulton moved to the UK was cos of the salary cap, not cos of his form.

Nice that we're locking up the forwards - we have an ample supply of strong players there now, but still nothing in the three quarters! Unless I'm missing someone, we only have Lawrence, Simona and Lulia in the centres (certainly nothing to yahoo about) and only Nofo and Richards on the wings - no decent depth there whatsoever!

Tedesco is a back.

Tedesco is a fullback - how does this help our skinny three quarter line?

Our back depth is ok.Fine, hoeter and Taufaka will come into the 25 next year. Wasn't John Sila signed for next year too?

Then there's a heap of talent in the NYC. Nathan Milone will be nsw cup next year, has size and great footwork. Marion Seve is rated the best Australian Schoolboy since Israel Folau, it's a damn shame he got injured a few weeks back as he was already a step above NYC. I'd be surprised if he didn't get a run in the 9s next year.

I'd love another first grade quality center but they don't just fall out of trees. Hopefully a couple of these guys can step up when needed.

I haven't seen enough of our lower grades to properly evaluate our young outside backs, but we clearly don't have enough money to buy real quality, so patience and development will have to do.

You would have to admit that our three quarter line would be in a lot more trouble if he wasn't there. Also, as we all know fullbacks do add that extra backline spark by joining in backline attacks as an extra man, something that Tedesco is very good at.
