I don't know about numbers but after watching again Mikaele gets a special mention..getting the ball away with his 1st touch after being smashed led to Nofoaluma's TRY then his effort on effort after taking a hit up then another in the next play with a quick ptb led to Marshall's TRY...big involvements..

Yeah I noticed those. He looks a real handful and I'm glad that Maguire has kept him on the bench.

Nofo a 10 is a bit much, maybe 8

Walters has exceeded my expectations, 7.5 for me, take away the two times he lost the ball in the tackle and he's a 8.5.
I like the kid

Yeh so do I and I think he now knows if he keeps running into an experienced nrl forward pack he is going to spill some ball.

So he played better than nofa if he doesn’t knock on ?Lol ok

I think it was a great effort from the whole team to stick in the game and control it the way we did. In saying that we were fairly lucky as the Dragons missed a lot of opportunities that could have blown the score out in their favour. They made quite a few breaks and created a lot of opportunities that a better side might have scored from. Then again we should have scored a few more as well. The fact is that in years past we probably would have lost that game.
Benji was great and Reynolds couldn't really take a trick - I am sure he'll be dreaming (nightmares!) about Sims. I think we would have been far better with Brooks. Our pack was great today and a sure sign of better days ahead. Jennings is not the guy we need and as much as I love Thommo, he just didn't quite get there despite his usual effort. Finally I like Walters but not sure if we can afford the learning curve that he needs. Fingers crossed we get Grant.
I would love to see us have an injury free run with Doeuhi at fullback and Mbye in the centres, Thommo (or Momo) on the wing and Brooks back. Perhaps Aloiai at 13 with Musgrove getting more time.

But other than that he was ok.
Not bad by any means

I’m more concerned about Thompson
His second half was better than the first, but his second phase play is not quite up to scratch.
His kick returns lacked any sort of punch too, maybe it was the weather not sure.
Is it too early to put him on the wing and run with AD at fullback?

I have the same concerns. The dropped balls running back can happen to anyone (all be it carrying it one hand in the wet contributes), but his positional play is a huge concern and the way he sweeps in the backline is pretty ineffective.

When you say positional play do you mean attack or defence ?

Take away the two shockers of passes and he is down to 6.5 at best. Tried hard, sure and a handy back up, but for mine that's about it based on what he has shown thus far.

If you judge the performance of the forwards in general, taking into account the service from dummy half, you'd have to say Walters had a very good game. The go forward was tremendous and that's due to bending the line, quick play the balls and good service.

Damn man...our forward pack is good. It's been 10 years since I last said that. Big things ahead for us. The best part about having a strong unit, and not just one or two guns, is none of them have to try too hard to get us places. They know they can just fulfill their role and the other forwards will back them up.

It's a shame Brooks is out. While Reynolds is a good player, I don't know if he combines with Benji that well. I suppose they haven't actually played that much together. Time will tell.

He played well. Small concern over the two times he ran and just got hammered and lost the ball due to size.

I suppose he deserves a little benefit of the doubt with the ball being so slippery.
He certainly had a dig ... if the young bloke from the Storm is as good as they say we'll be laughing.
