Stats are good for some things but they don't tell you who was woefully out of position , who didn't chase down a player or who took the wrong option.
They also attribute tackles to the third guy in when the hard works done and don't mention it's a little different taking a hard hit up with a broken arm compared to a soft hit up and surrendering in the tackle.
