All of them I would have thought Happy. They are good players coming at a reasonable price.

So we'd better not try.
And that's one of the clubs biggest problems , we seem to take lots of chances with signings that probably are doomed from the start or the likelihood of success are limited
This is the difference between the top clubs and ourselves
Managing your cap is all about astute purchases
Which of our six signings are astute purchases ??
@happy tiger said:@alexaki said:@happy tiger said:People are really jumping the gun , we are in talks with a bloke who plays a completely different code who more likely than not won't even get a run in NYC and people are ready having him signed and playing NYC
Pretty big risk , especially if it means guys who are established league players moving on
Not many Union converts crack it in the NRL , the Tigers have had their fair share of failures in this area
Michael O'conner
Ray Price( I think came from union)
And of course Brian Smith

And now post the the failures , the list will be as long as your arm
@happy tiger said:And if he is as good as everyone says do you think union will let him go cheaply
So then we spend the majority of our NYC cap space on a guy unproven in League
Some absolute geniuses on this Forum ,I'll tell you

This really seems to be a point of major contention for you Happy. They are not talking about this guy as a guaranteed future star. Just as we weren't talking about Austin as a guaranteed future star, there can be a middle ground when we talk about good young kids with potential.
I'll be honest, I've never heard of Deegan before, but some people who may have been following him in lower Union grades might see something they like.

Do you think the ARU will let him go for peanuts ??
That's my point , one position that we are really struggling in is the 10 jersey in rugby union
They can't afford to have anyone with talent leaving
That's my opinion why we won't get him
We would be paying overs for a 17 year old who doesn't play the game
Wouldn't we be far better off finding a 17 year old who has played the game and spend the time and effort developing his talents
