Marshall would know Brookes is an outstanding prospect but needs time in the NSW Cup. There is no need to rush him but just ensure he is locked in for the long term.

I like Skeleton and he is good out of yardage.

I think we need to temper the excitement on Maraksiji in the centres - his defensive positioning needs work in the centres and he looked better on the wing to be fair.

At 18, all this is to be expected - let him earn a spot on the wing first. Has a rails run this year because Skeleton is injured to start the season.

The injured players will miss out this year we have some back up , if Toa is injured May and Skelton left and Macca and Turuva on the right , right side with those 2 and KPP could be very good same as our left with Sam f. May and Skelton , both sides attacking is bliss , then throw Bulla in on either side , that strong , AD can attack as well and close up we should be using Bunty and Hunt as battering rams , can’t wait till nrl season kicks off , top 8 this year ,

I dont think Toa will miss out due to form, but it could happen if he has issues with that niggling injury again.

Taylan might have something to say about that.

On a seperate note, I see no scenario where we can keep Makasini and Taylan long term. Both will be commanding big dollars and you dont see many clubs paying big bucks for both centres.

You are wrong and looking way to much into it.

Most the NRL team will play 40-60mins max as such they need backups for the full team.

I think the numbers mean nothing...unlimited interchange in trials i think

Hard to stop one on one, so he will create space for those outside him and Mak seems to be able to be in the right positions.

We do indeed. Just need our forwards to hold up their side of the ledger and provide a bit of go forward for the backline to work off.

Didn’t Taylan just re-sign with us until the end of 2028 and I think Makasini is currently signed until the end of 2027 on a deal worth 375k per season.
Maybe we can front load and upgrade his contract to extend him for an extra year until the end of 2028 also and if that is done we could relax and see how this 2026 season eventuates before deciding if either one of them or both need to be extended even further.

3yrs or 10yrs?
Both agreed to new terms last year.

End of 2027 for taylan. If we are going to win a comp we need him longer than that.
