Tigers tell Reynolds he's free to find a new club

It depends on his medical condition and what the club doctors say. He may be fully fit after the off season, I have no idea.

Very good post @2041: from your obvious extensive research you have imo shown that facts are well...facts, that Luke Brooks is a very good no. 7 and a player we need to keep for the long run. He will be a better player still with good forwards around him, and that's gonna happen real soon. He 'may' never play SOO, but he will at least keep the top candidates for the job on their toes.
Journalists are always on the lookout for a big story, and the big footy story of a few years ago was 'Luke Brooks is the next Andrew Johns' or someone else is 'the next' 'Don Bradman'.
I wouldn't want the pressure of being told I was the next 'Errol Flynn', mind you, I would have a lot of fun trying though.
The only player that sticks in my mind as being something special ie 'the next somebody' was Brad Fittler. In his very first game in 1st grade, which just happened to be against my Wests Magpies at Campbelltown [and I have it on 'tape' still...I hope], he tore Us to shreds and went on to be a great player.
***Leave Luke Brooks alone all you knockers***
Michelle Moses made a mess of him as he did to Corey Norman. But Corey was lucky in that he was able to get away from Moses and went on to be a much better player because of it. He went to a better and much more stable team and club, with better and much more stable players around him. PLUS, he didn't have to deal with Robbie Farah.
In finishing, I reckon Luke Brooks 'may' even become 'the next' Corey Norman...oooops I shouldn't have said that....or better, once Farah is outa the way!!!
Have a great day 2041 and look forward to a much brighter, enjoyable and relaxed footy future..:relaxed: :relaxed: :relaxed::v:

Why is Luke Brooks’ inability to become a good, consistent halfback always everyone else’s fault?

Sssssshh mate ..
You’ll upset the fan boys !

G'day @Furious1: only a decent bloke could have a decent thought like that.

Too late for that I think lol

Good and positive thinking @momo_amp_medo: keep it going, as a few of Our Forumers are in urgent need of it 😛oint_up: :relaxed: :v: :relaxed:

G'day @cochise: well done mate, as a well-researched topic can lead on to a lot of positive thinking for Our Forumers. There are many out there that need to read something good and positive, rather than one-liners that are critical of Our Club and players ie the fans that are critical are the ones who need the good vibes the most and will get the most benefit imo :relaxed: 'All' of Us need to hear 'good' news posts :v:

@momo_amp_medo: re your "what medications are you on man? what's this theory all about".
It seems you must know @CTigersWinComp really well?
Is that the case?
Cheers mate :relaxed:

Yeah... I'm picturing Pascoe staring at the phone a la Homer Simpson playing the waiting game.

I'm picturing Pascoe using an auto dialler to ring every club CEO to offload him.

"Greetings, friend! Do you want to take an overpriced perpetually injured five-eighth off the Wests Tigers hands? If so, send $800,000 to 'desperate dude.' Don't delay, eternal disappointment is $800K away..."

One for Rock Bottom

I say if we can offload reyolds for 400k we should be happy..I think we should then sign api to play of the bench as I don’t think liddle has the full 80 in him.

Got a feeling you spent (as I did) many miserable long walks down railway street to the station, following the Magpies.
EXCEPT for those great Roy Masters era years.

Brooks is top in the NRL for line engagements.
He’s third in support play.
He’s ninth for try assists (5th among halfbacks).
He’s top 10 for number of runs (top half or 5/8 by an absolute street).
He’s outside the top 50 in errors (in the top 50: Moses, Croft, Nikorima, Townsend, Keary, Pearce, Milford).

He might not be the type of player you were expecting and he almost certainly isn’t the new Andrew Johns, but he definitively is a good player. I’m sorry you can’t see that, but there’s not an argument to be had here: there’s facts, and there’s what you believe.

Notice I'm not blaming anyone for anything, apart from possibly you for not seeing what's in front of your eyes. The grass is always greener I guess.

@momo_amp_medo yeah agree .... some on here just don’t get it .... put him behind a Storm or Rooster pack and add their fullback and 3/4 line ..... and you have a SOO half.

Yeah but than lots of good players have had bad couple of years and then came back to play better than ever. Benji and Teddy come to mind but there are many examples.
I just hope we don’t shoot our selfies in the foot over this one.
We should not be too hasty or overly generous in releasing him in a deal to another club. Carry $200-300k but that’s it brother.

My criticism of Brooks isn't that he's not a good player. I think he's very talented. My issue with him is that when we need him to be good, he isn't. He has no killer instinct.

I used to catch the train from Lithgow to Auburn, the train never stopped at Lidcombe, but after a while when you got to know the drivers, they would stop and let you off at Lidcombe anyway.
Some train drivers would blow their horn if an opposition player was shooting for goal
