@Geo. said:Rubbish…..Morris in the halves was a huge contributing factor Yes....didn't we have Prince in '06....If you think The Fonz stubborness with Morris is the difference your more deluded than I thought.....

Deluded?
John Morris is currently ranked #138 in the NRL for season 2009 for TRY ASSISTS. What else is a five eigth supposed to do but distribute the ball and setup tries?
A ranking of 138 puts him behind:
Sam Thaiday (a forward)
Chris Walker (a winger)
Colin Best (a centre)
If you rank Morris with all the other players who regularly play 5/8th, he ranks last.

If anyone is deluded, it's those who think Morris is any way a 5/8th. Balmain Bug is 100% right.
@tiger tigers said:yes but the biggest problem was Sheens signed up morris to be his number 7 saviour …i as many were astounded when his signing was announced,,, and Sheens hasnt let me down ....a real number 7 would have solved all the drama we have been through ever since prince moved on....

@Geo. said:Ummm….... Please show me anywhere I have said Morris in the halves was a good idea ......What about the length of injury for the Massiah.... all the time waiting patiently for him to get his confidence back....Starting Galea an Payne as Props cause the cupboard was bare...Robbie Farah carrying a team on his back that eventually needed Surgery.....To suggest the sole reason we haven't made the finals in 3 years was because of one player who sucks as a 5/8th as well as not giving a State Cup player a go ...Oh that's right he was behind Hodgo....is deluded....1 of those years we also had Scott Prince and Anthony Laffranchi....the reasons are numorous,,,I would say the major flaw in the Fonz is he is to Loyal....and puts to much faith in the players he thinks can get the job done...
Stat's don't always tell the true story though do they....Morris a utility at best...has played every game at times in a position totally foriegn to him ...tried his guts out...It's not his fault he has limited talent
@tigerman69 said:Oh ok nothing to do with the fact we lost our star players for long periods on time expecially benji.
06 AND 07 We did QUITE WELL CONSIDERING INJURIES to our best players.
last year was probably the only year you could say was dissapointing considering.
09 STILL A HOPE
@tigerman69 said:There must be some reason why morris was left there for so long cause i just dont think sheens is that stupid but heh hes leaving us now anyways so in a way its good.
@tigerman69 said:yes mate well you cant be coaching in the nrl for over 500 games coach nsw coach australia and win premierships and not know that so im not sure why and if you look to the future it doesnt really matter.I for one want sheens to extend his contract cause if we dont sign him you watch another club grab him in a heart beat.
