In the last 15 years, people like Sheens, Brooks, Benji, Robbie, Nofoaluma and Lawrence are still my favourite. I've given them all crap but if there is anyone who I wish would succeed at the Tigers, it's that group.

It takes a lot of years to build that emotional connection to players.

That is what I was hoping for, Sheens in a development role that also assists with recruitment in a small way would be the perfect setup in my opinion.

Meh,

So Welcome back Tim, honestly glad to have you onboard (feel free to return the $1mil if you wish.. ok but your shouting at the bar).

Now this is NORMAL. Very Normal. What is happening is what the Tigers have wanted for ages. A structure that doesn't succeed or fall on the head coach. Brisbane and other clubs have people around who look into the little things, are the guys tackling right, are they too worn. Madge should not be the focal point, it allows for continuity if Madge leaves.

I believe we tried getting Laurie Daily in. Honestly he would have been great. Now Sheens is in, it's good. I believe Madge may have played under him. So we should see a good guide/sage working at the club.

Honestly it's good to have Sheens around. Even if it is just 1 play a week, Sheens pull out that notebook, have everyone huddle like an arrow and push Daine Laurie over the try line.


The only sad part is. I don't think Sheens will recognise anyone. Brooks just started under him, Farah is helping coach, ah I think that is it.

My brother in law ,and also a tigers tragic, spent time talking to Sheens years ago. He said he is one of the most intelligent people , and nicest guys you would meet.
Many of the best coaches in the game have learnt from Sheens. Welcome aboard Tim !

That is a good point that I hadn't thought of, I just think everyone's role needs to be clearly defined and we should be ok.
