The thing is Moltzen has to earn his chance, just like everyone else.
And he's got a long way to go to earn a recall.

@Newtown said:I would like to pose a question; How do people compare Moltzen with Lawrence?
Lawrence has had every chance since his injury and even though he has not impressed in any game he has been selected, which is every game he been uninjured, he has impressed. Moltzen had a very serious injury just as catastrophic battled bravely though painful rehabilitation and is now starting to get into his stride. However most people are critical and continue to put him down. Last weekend Moltzen scored a try playing at centre and not his favourite position at 5/8.
It also seems ironic that some are not willing to try Moltzen in first grade yet call for Moses to be given continually chances in first grade even though he has shown very little in six rounds this season.

Moses not impressive in 6 rounds?
Moltzen has not impressed me in 6 years!!!
@Snake said:Well with Moses way out of his depth I think it is time for the return of the Moltz , time to earn your money Tim .No need for a world beater at 5/8 just a competent mature player, hopefully Friday night.

It's not as if we need to win next week to make the semi's. Might surprise some, it's been that long since his played 1st grade.
Players need to know that they will be dropped for under performing performances, wasn't that what we were crying out for last year?
@tsjonathan said:@Milky said:Leave our halves as they are, you guys want success so fast, it doesn't work like that. Success is basically like a sling shot, you go backwards which is the stage we are currently in, you then let go and move forward, success comes with time not overnight. Moses himself as said it will take time to gel, there are signs but they just aren't there yet.
Sums it up really. But people on the forum want instant success. Patience is something SOME on here just don't have. We have the best young halves in the comp but people judge the 20 year olds on a dozen first grade games.
I'm suprised people comparing Bird to Moses. Bird has had instant impact but long term wise Moses is a much more complete footballer.
@Squaddy said:If you think the best way for Moses to improve is to drop him you've got no idea. A move like that can kill a players confidence, especially when they're really young. I continue to believe that Moses is not involved due to tactical decisions by JT and not of his own choosing. Last year he was mvoing across the park, and you can see in broken play that he loves being around the ball but he's parked out on the right now just waiting. Is it his fault or the game plans fault?
Either way, Moltzen is not the answer. He scored his first try in NSW Cup last week, make him set that comp on fire if he wants his spot back.[/
A lot of good young footballers get dropped somewhere in their careers, and most don't drop their bundles because of it. The ones that knuckle down and put the effort into it are the ones that you want in your club.
If Moses ( or Brooke) were to get dropped, it's not completely their fault, as others made the judgement that they were ready for First Grade . And just maybe they were a bit premature.
Meanwhile I'll keep hoping that I'm wrong and they'll come good, and we end up with a good pair of halves, but I'm sure of one thing if this were a lot of clubs in the NRL . They both would be in the reserves by now, not as punishment, but to learn their game.
